Non of my clients turned up for their appointments , a galling and fairly frequent aspect of counselling I’m afraid . I left the centre early and ended up having a row with a drone flyer who was photographing a caravan park next to a garage shop. He was arguing with the park staff but like most of the sad on line auditors do, he knew the legal aspects of flying a drone., which allowed him to do so from public land, so just just enjoying bating the staff for some cheap footage.
“I have a legal right to film”he cried out like a teenager and I couldn’t resist calling “ but not a moral one!”.as he glared at me, pointing his camera at my fat arse as I walked away to Bluebell
“ I bet your mother is very proud of your achievements “ I fired back, almost as cutting as old fashioned “cheap Shoes”
No picking fights! Not your problem. Do the clients have to pay whether they show up or not? Can you organize text reminders, like ''type Y if you will be attending your appointment"?

ReplyDeleteDrones are somewhat regulated and must avoid air space where planes fly. Private citizens have rights as well and can file a complaint if a drone is flown to close.

DeleteI am sorry your clients didn’t have enough curtesy to let you know they were not coming or to at least re schedule.. maybe you need to require a fee if an appointment isn’t canceled within 24 hours. You got there so they should have too. Gigi

DeleteWe have to pay a fee if we don't show up for medical appointments - 24 hour notice is required to cancel or we get charged.

They forfeit that appointment
DeleteWe also have to pay for missing appts and not calling 24 hours ahead. It's not unreasonable to charge a fee. Also, the fee can be cancelled if your reason for calling less than 24 hours ahead is accepted.

Você não merece fazer iniciação científica no Laproneb. O Laproneb está uma porcaria, no Laproneb tem a Natalie Tavares Delgado e agora tem você.
Se a Maria Isabel teve a capacidade de aproveitar do fato dela ser professora da UFRJ para ficar ameaçando os alunos, ela também tem a capacidade de ter aceitar como aluno de IC do Laproneb.

Eu garanto que eu não vou fazer nenhuma falta, a vida é boa para quem faz iniciação científica, para quem não faz só resta à morte, eu não vou perder a minha bolsa de iniciação científica.

Is it like here in the U.S, that when you no show without a phone call, you are charged for your visit anyway? This keeps that sort of thing to minimum-ish. When I worked the front desk for a chiropractor, people frequently no showed without a call. The Dr. refused to charge them for this (small town, he knew everyone, blahblahblah), so, with no $$$ consequences, no one cared. You've got to have skin in the game or people will not be moved to follow the rules.
ReplyDelete'I do think reminding offensive people of their mother works well. In my call centre job I had a really verbally abusive man who used words I save for special occasions, it was a long rant and so I said 'shame on you, what would your mother think of you' and he stopped and apologised. Felt great.
