It’s been a pretty miserable set of night shifts. So I’ve bought a miniature Christmas Tree from Marks compensate, there’s something about fairy lights that make the whole world better.
Talia Grupo is at full lisp during this piece of English Eurovision
You just can’t help smiling

Your little tree is so cheery. Is that Bun or Weaver investigating? I must get my tree and decs up. These dark, dreary days call for some fairy lights.
ReplyDeleteThe lisping choir always looks like they're having a ball.
I hope you sleep well tonight, without any little presents from Weaver. xx
What a festive and delightful scene in your window, John, and hope Weaver and Bun ignore it all.
ReplyDeleteSorry those night shifts were so miserable and hope the fairy lights, good sleep, and yummy food will boost your spirits so today is better.
We have a cold, rainy day, so am pressing my Christmas wall quilts and hanging them along with our old (but like new) plaid tablecloth that now adorns our dining room table. The tree will be put up later this week.
Hugs!
A little sparkle always helps!
ReplyDeleteRelax and enjoy
ReplyDeleteCats are always drawn to Christmas trees, aren't they, no matter how big or small.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful looking window. I do miss having deep windowsills.
ReplyDelete3 strenuous nights is a lot to endure.
ReplyDeleteI'd much prefer to see you work as a fulltime day counselor.
A tree with fairy lights provides some nice Christmas joy.
Rest well. Tomorrow is another day.
The orchestra and the chorus are both wonderful but the star of the show is that amazing conductor! She's an act unto herself.
ReplyDeleteWorking nights is hard. Nice to come home to a Christmas tree with fairy lights… makes your home cozier. Cali
ReplyDeleteYour cat seems to like the tree.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree, it's the twinkling lights that cheer me most about Christmas decorations and the small tree seems somehow more intimate and cosy.
ReplyDeleteThe choir really brought a smile. Just what I needed on a dark morning. Light and joy.
Our tree is RUBBISH. I tried to buy a real one this year, but was over-ruled!
ReplyDeleteStand up fir yourself xxxx
DeleteWhen I was a boy our family always had a tree that touched the ceiling, though standing in a bucket on the floor, and whichever cat we had (we 'went through' dozens, seemingly) would inevitably once in a while bring the whole shebang crashng down, being unable to resist toying with all the sparkly stuff.
ReplyDeleteLovely video. Was hoping that the whole choir might do the little 'Brotherhood of Man' on-the-spot dance to the chorus, but rarher difficult to co-ordinate, I imagine.
Btw: In terms of record sales, this song still remains the most popular entry in all of Eurovision's history.
I think our upbringing were similar
DeleteWe live in an age where lights are cheap and plentiful which means we can add festive sparkle to almost anything.
ReplyDeleteIm gay i love sparkling

ReplyDeleteLove the video.
ReplyDeleteXx❤️
DeleteI refuse to be drawn into any jesting about "fairy lights" as that might be deemed homophobic.
ReplyDeleteVery wise
