The Book of Love - πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€news

This piece of music is a breath of fresh air.
I need a breath of fresh air today
My wee has turned from claret coloured to a healthier blush rosΓ© and I feel a little more human.
Especially as my day in bed, allowed me to get half a dose of flea treatment onto Weaver without inducing intensive care standard injuries.
The downside on heath news is that my eye scan this week has diagnosed another extensive bleed into my right eye. The consultant was thorough and kind and pragmatic when she told me that the injections were not working and that she suggested that they stop.
My eyesight will deteriorate and I may go blind in that eye she said
Thank good my left eye is ok , I said

Hey ho

I am so sorry about your eye, John. I was told that I am legally blind in my good eye. When I went for my injections this week my sight was slightly better, but it will not all come back because of scar tissue. I just hope my bad eye does not bleed. Good on you getting Weaver flee proofed without serious injuries. Hopefully you get clear wee soon. I have a case of thrush after my visit to the dentist yesterday.. always something.. more hugs going your way. Gigi.

  2. Dear John, very sorry to hear your news. For what it's worth, I have been partially sighted since birth (uncorrected squint till age 5). Yes, I know it's not a competition! But just to say I'm 73 now and cope OK using my left eye. Probably TMI but just to say there are more of us about than you'd think. My sympathies with the other afflictions but a huge well done to sorting Weaver; I still have the scar from pilling Minouche some years back! Love and hugs and hoping all will be well. Jan xx

Hi, John, Ursula here. I feel for you. Did they name the condition? Gave you projection for how long deterioration may take? Are you actually still able to see, properly, with that eye? What measures can be taken to at least slow the process?

    Holy shit. All the best,
    U

Oh, dear. Am glad the UTI symptoms are lessening and hope you have antibiotics if they're called for.
As for the vision in your right eye, are there better medical options in London or other medical centers in closer larger cities? I'd keep investigating until every option has been checked.
Hope you're off work and can take it easy this weekend.

    Big hugs!

  6. Oh damn! That's the second time I've said that to you recently. Good news about the UTI improving, but I'd like to hear that it is totally, absolutely, completely, utterly GONE!! As you would too. As to the eye - that's a bugger, but if you're 'left eye dominant' you may cope pretty well - and the brain does adapt surprisingly flexibly. I'm talking through a hole in my hat - I really don't know much about it, except that although I have two functioning eyes, I do 90% of my seeing, through only one of them. Do I detect miniscle softening in Madam Weaver? XX - you need hugs at the moment XX

You're a survivor, John and you'll be ok but we all wish it was easier for you

  10. I love that song, and have never heard this version. What marvelous voices, just beautiful.

But...I am sorry to hear about your eye. So very sorry. I cannot think of a single comforting thing to say.

  11. I am glad the UTI is under control.
As for the eye, I'd get a second opinion from a London practice. If something can be done the city practice will know and will provide options.

  13. I'm glad the UTI is clearing up but sorry about the eye situation. No suggestions here, because I know you'll use your good judgment about next steps if any. I'm just sorry you have to deal with it. Well, st least the flea treatment worked out!

  14. Oh dear, distressing news about your eye. Glad it doesn't affect your left eye, that's a bit of good luck.

I imagine you'll be in Weaver's bad books for awhile because of that half dose of flea treatment. Good luck with the remaining half dose.
