My eye injection was unpleasant but not painful
I asked the nurse if a colleague could hold my head still and she complied with suitable force
( she could have wrestled a pig)
The only thing that went wrong
Is…..
They used permanent marker to dot above the eye to be injected
I did see the funny side
As a former surgery nurse, it is so very, very important to have the patient mark (or nurse mark with patient pointing) the planned surgical side when there are bilateral sites like eyes, ears, arms, legs or multiples like fingers or toes. No mistake that way. Nobody wants that kind of mistake!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad this injection is over with, no pain, and that someone helped you keep still.
Big hugs!
Babs xx I get you
DeleteWell, think of it as a beauty spot rather than a war wound! At least there wasn't a big, red arrow as well. Glad there was no pain and no bloodshot eye this time. Time to rest and recuperate. xx
ReplyDeleteYes a dot that may encourage conversations
DeleteAh... nothing that a tub of Ajax and a scrubbing brush can't shift 😁
ReplyDeleteAjax!! Bloody hell
DeleteAny surgical procedure requires permanent marker locators. After cataract surgery it's usually gone due to the surgical prep. It washes off. Face cloth and warm water. Does the trick
ReplyDeleteI’ve tried xx
