I woke with Weaver's serious face staring at me
Bun was sat on my legs

Both purring like German war planes

  1. Oh, that does my heart good! Weaver is finally mellowing. Nothing quite like a furry, furry blanket. xx

  2. I have an early morning alarm clock and as usual woke this morning to Pippi one side of me, Alfie the other and Lulu by my legs. Alfie was protesting he Needed To Go Out (his brother Little Whale has a more long distance bladder and was still downstairs). They let me lie in till 7 a.m. today!

  3. Neither of my cats purrs - and I do miss that comforting sound when all my previous ones have done so. However, they can both be affectionate, rubbing against me (and my beard) and pounding their paws in my lap when they're in the mood, so I suppose all's well.

    2. Makes me feel a bit better. I'd thought that ALL cats purred - until the present two, both at the same time!

  4. How do you tell the twins apart? My dog ( probably a maltichon) makes a strange noise that I call his purr......cross between a purr and a growl.....only done when he is happy. Not sure that strangers believe me when I say he is only purring!!

  6. My Freddie used to creep into the bedroom at night and sleep under my chin. I miss him terribly.

  7. "Both purring like German war planes". They must have realised that it was the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

  14. I love the weight of a cat sitting on me, purring contentedly. It is comforting to fall asleep to.

Your constant love, kindnesses, and food have won Weaver and Bun over at last! I wonder how Mary and Roger will react?

    Hugs!

  19. They are getting big - no longer kittens tho I still think of them as little. A purring cat is a lovely thing. Two, even better.

  20. Adorable. I woke with Dudo staring me in the face and purring so loudly I thought it was a machine. I tried to grab the phone for a pic but he would have nothing to do with it.

  21. Ginger wakes Alan up any day that he is late making breakfast, with a very loud purring session. It's as though they know you can't be angry at a purring cat. :-)

What a lovely sight to wake up to. Not one, but two purring kitties... they have grown so much!

  25. How beautiful. I love it when they purr, and some of my previous cats have had very loud purrs. I love it when they paddle too, though some call it kneading or making biscuits. My current two so far just paddle a bit in mid air. I like to see a lovely paddle on their blanket or pillow.
Surely you should be able to tell them apart by now John. I've had as many as five black cats at once. People have asked me that before, but they have different faces, expressions and behaviour. Good job you had a twin sister, LOL. X
    Jean.

  26. Looks like a coup to me John. They have taken over. Happy days. Glad it has happened at long last. I usually end up with our elderly Jack Russell at some point if she will not calm down. Then the cat gets huffy how dare she be on "her" bed, before eventually coming back after the dog has gone. Mischief normally sleeps cuddled up next to me. Brilliant xx
