So true that Albert was a singular sensation as a cat, par excellence. Mary knew that and respected him. Bun and Weaver have no such credentials as yet!
I understand this completely having been on both sides - one needing help and one offering to help. A recent issue for me is a friend of almost a decade ignoring me in a public setting and has "ghosted" me ever since. That really hurt.
It's okay Mary. I used to like lots of things that I now find annoying.
ReplyDeleteSame here Jackie!
DeleteMary had a habit of sitting on things , I remember her in the fruit bowl
ReplyDeleteKeith
Xx
Ah yes
DeleteShe's just got older and appreciates a bit of peace and quiet. Youngsters can be SO annoying! xx
ReplyDeleteAin’t that the truth
Delete"It's those damn upstarts you allowed in, Dad. Whatever were you thinking?"
ReplyDeleteI know
DeleteBut that was Albert, not some annoying little scrotbits!
ReplyDeleteHe was an old guy then and very sanguine
DeleteI suspect Mary likes Bun & Weaver. They simply needed a reminder of the cottage pecking order.
ReplyDeleteHummmm
DeleteIt's not being cats that is the problem, it's the fact they are children! And they outnumber her!
ReplyDeleteGood point
DeleteBut Albert was Albert! Cats are completely different in personality. Mary knows that.
ReplyDeleteHe only had eyes for Winnie

ReplyDeleteHugs!
Mary is making it clear that she is top dog.
ReplyDeleteHow far will the twins take the challenge?
How did Mary like cats? Barbecued or stewed?
ReplyDeleteNot everyone likes toddlers.
ReplyDeleteThere is something very special about cats and dogs being good friends. Of course, it doesn't always happen.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she finds them really irritating at times as she is older and slower now.
ReplyDeleteOld Dogs Are Cool.
ReplyDeleteI guess it’s not cats she doesn’t like it’s those damned kids.
ReplyDeleteShe is an older lady now, suddenly there are children/teenagers charging around. I relate, Mary.
ReplyDeletePerhaps after Albert, there's no more room for kitties in her heart.
ReplyDeleteThe cats will win in the end. They always do.

ReplyDeleteThat comment was intended for your next post
DeleteI"m on Mary's side. Skittish kittens, not observing boundaries will be keeping her on edge, when what she really wants is a peaceful life.
