Et maintenant -and letting the village down a little

I missed the VE celebrations in the village Hall today
I’ve missed a lot of village bits and bobs recently and I’m sorry for that
ill health and college deadlines are to blame
I’ve put a link of Bridget’s video of the afternoon below
It’s looked lovely
Well done to all involved

Tomorrow I am typing up my essay that was written today , I’m doing that in the college’s satellite library. in Rhyl. My last day in college is Tuesday and I’ve bought my favourite  tutor a gift of a dinosaur mug and a bag  of proper coffee .
Now Tuesdays will mark my return to choir

The lisping choir made me smile today

  5. Working on your studies parttime, working parttime - it's a lot. Like the proverbial albatross around your neck. When my friend & I finished our PT post-basic RN studies after 5 yrs, she said - you know when you pop the top off a bottle of 7up & the bubbles rise to the top? That's how I feel." Hopefully you will experience bubbles.

You well know that self care ranks higher than attending village events. The link makes it look that it would have been wonderful to be a part of the festivities, but there is an ocean in my way and needed rest in your way. Que sera, sera (possibly misspelled).
Nice parting gifts for your tutor, too.
    Oh, joy! Choir!!!!

    Hugs!

  8. I enjoyed that version of the song. I'm used to Bécaud singing it, so to hear a choral version was interesting.

  9. The village celebration looked so good!

Hopefully not too long before you can have more time to join in more. Also going back to your own choir which should be a real positive.

  10. There will be other memorable events you will be able to attend, once college has finished and you've graduated. Returning to choir for one. I expect you to sing your heart out! xx

  12. That's a cracker of a little film. I don't think there'd have been that much sugar available at the time though!

I was around 80 years ago but was only little. The only thing I remember was the ration book my mother took when she shopped. We did not suffer like England did. My husband was sent to the country in Scotland from 9 till 12 years old. He loved it as he was in a very wealthy families home and across from a farm where he could go and help out. That tea looked so well put together and everyone looked like they enjoyed it. Thank you Bridget for the photos.
