Painting

The yappy dogs from next door woke me around three. I gave the Welsh a wee and fed the twins who were annoyed that the dogs were upstairs. The sunshine is glorious ( a bastard of a thing to happen for night workers) so I’ve eaten spicy bean soup out of the slow cooker followed by houmous and celery.

I checked my emails to see if Yorkshire Pudding had received my message ( 😟 he hadn’t) but did open an email from Donna in Tennessee who enclosed this copy of her painting of Winnie

It’s so captured the essence of that bulldog, who spent her life acting like a gay man in a fat suit.

It’s wonderful, and it made my day

What a bother to be awakened far too early by noisy neighbor dogs! Glad you could make the most of it and hope you slept long and restfully after the outing with Mary and Roger.
What an amazing painting of Diva Winnie that Donna in Tennessee painted!!!! Applause, applause!

    Hugs!

  3. Yes, wonderful painting. I think your best solution to the neighbors dogs may be a recording played of their dogs or similar dogs...back at them at 3 30 in the morning.

  6. Oh, that painting is just perfect! The look on Winnie's face says don't mess with me, I'm sleeping.
Do your neighbours know you sometimes work nights, or don't they give a toss? xx

  8. That portrait of Winnie captures her essence totally. Great gift, especially on not such a nice day.
Have you spoken directly to your inconsiderate neighbor? They need to know how disruptive the noise is. Are other neighbors also impacted? If so, work together to solve the issues. Strength in numbers....
Alternatively, can you lodge a complaint with the village police?

  19. The painting reminds me of a plump woman, lounging on an ottoman in her housecoat. It's a wonderful painting!
