Sunshine and Meatballs

 Apparantly it’s a thing….

Yesterday was a wake up call.
Roger off his lead like a loon
Things can go tits up in an instant.
One wrong move, one accident of fate,
And whoosh
Roger has been at Trendy Carol’s all day.
I’ve been in college
Both he and Mary were stood by Carol’s Trendy Conservatory and when they saw me, Roger galloped over with his sister tottering slowly behind
And the welcome broke my heart just a little.

A dim silly boy with a gentle heart and a scruffy old bitch with tired eyes
They are my world and my sunshine

And I’m glad I bought them a packet of Swedish meatballs from the garage on the way home( see link below)

  2. I used to cuddle one of my cats like that. Like a little teddy bear. The other one would have had my arm off! xx

Completely charming and heartwarming. Sigh. I miss our dearly departed dogs Shep, Punkin, Daisy, and Toby and our cats KC, Boots, Tom, Winnie, and Cutie. Rescues, one and all.

    Hugs!

    2. What a sweet video and it was lovely to see Winnie, William, and George again along with the youthful Mary.
You have a rich and lovely speaking voice, John.

  9. Pets become especially dear if we live alone. At least that's my experience. Other heartbeats in the house besides our own. I'm glad Roger was returned to the fold safe and sound. xx

  12. I remember you explaining about the pecking order of meatball distribution, but I still think you could have snuck George an extra meatball before you announced it to the others. He was sitting there so beautifully. Bless him.

Loved your meatball distribution to your 4 well behaved dogs.Mary must have been quite young. Hopefully Roger learned a lesson and is happy to be home with Mary and the girls. Gigi

  15. Meatballs! It was great to see the old gang all together again. The only one immune to the power of meatballs was, predictably, Albert-the-cat-who-walks-alone!

  16. So well behaved. If I give Billy anything other than his usual dry food, he is either sick or has diarrhea. We stick to his dry food. Being married to a Swede, I shall NOT be showing her your video!!!

  18. Lovely to see the old pack again, especially the gentle George. I doubt I could sing to Mavis like that I would be in floods of tears, and sadly any cuddles now have to have her very upright and not too tightly squeezed ... she used to love a good bear hug.

  19. You are so lucky to have Mr & Mrs Trendy-Carol close by for dog-sitting support. I hope you sometimes show your appreciation with gifts or favours returned.
