Spring

The lisping choir et Al doing a cracking job. I loved this and I was there at the back cheering when this was performed.

I’m spring cleaning today and have only left the cottage to walk the dogs

Loved the rousing music and dance. I had a skin graft over skin cancer surgery last week so am supposed to lie low for a week. My face is a bit swollen under my eye but the stitches look ok. I don’t know what it looks like under the pressure dressing on the bigger spot. My grandson said it looks like I fought off a bear. My house looks like a bomb went off. It will get cleaned up when I get over all this. Have a good one John. Gigi

  3. I recently spoke with a professor of Spanish here. A wonderful woman. She said she can’t stand when English speakers say Spaniards lisp. She said “We pronounce S like S. If we lisped that wouldn’t be the case. And English speakers could then be said to lisp, too. They have all those TH words, thought, through, think, thank you.”

The music is a rousing delight and I love to picture you in the audience enjoying it all!
Happy spring cleaning! Wish I had the energy to do that, but there is still a bit of snow on the ground in shady places so spring cleaning here might be premature.

    Hugs!

  7. Loved the choir and isn't it great that you were there! It's a lovely, warm spring day here, but instead of getting busy in the garden, we've spent the day faffing about with a curtain pole which broke yesterday. Tried gluing the wooden brackets back together, which didn't work (of course it didn't) so ended up mending the whole lot with a new one. A day wasted, in my view. Oh, well, tomorrow is another day! xx
