I’ve spring cleaned my bedroom and the bathroom.
It’s taken me the entire day
20 pairs of reading glasses have been found tucked into corners, gathering dust under the bed and lying under the mountain of clothes, heaped in the corner like a mound of elephant dung.
I’ve also washed two dozen old T shirts which now fit me
Weigh in was this morning, I’ve lost another 6 lbs!!!
I’m buggered
Good job John. How can you have so many pairs of glasses?
ReplyDeleteBugger only knows
DeleteI buy mine in bulk on Amazon, 6 pairs under $20.oo. Prob that's what John does too.
DeleteI do
DeleteGood goin', kid. I also have reading glasses scattered around. Currently dealing with some Afib/PVC's issues, but otherwise ok.
ReplyDeleteMy new email is jgheffield@icloud.com
DeleteI can’t use my old one can u email me Mike?
DeleteWould that email be jgSheffield@icloud.com or is the S left out of Sheffield on purpose? Just wondering ...
DeleteHugs!
Thanks
DeleteSheffield with low case s
I'm knackered just reading about all you've achieved. 20 pairs of glasses, you kleptomaniac! You need a dedicated glasses drawer, so you know where to look, or where to return them when you find an errant pair. I'm at the stage where, unless I'm asleep, mine are on my nose. Otherwise, everything is a blur.
ReplyDeleteAnother 6 pounds, well done! Don't turn sideways, we won't be able to see you! You must be well chuffed. xx
I’m still a fat bastard but I’m a work in progress x
DeleteI won't complain ever again about P's 8 pairs of reading glasses scattered around the house. 20???
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 6lb. A good feeling.
It does feel very good 😄
DeleteGood for you with the weight loss and lower sugar. Does this mean you may not need insulin after all.
ReplyDeleteAnd 20 pairs of glasses, hahaha. Plus all those shirts. You are def all set for spring and prob the rest of the year.
Your journey and determination makes me so proud and inspired. Good work, John!
😊xx
DeleteI'm with the idea for a dedicated drawer for glasses or a box for the glasses if all of the drawers are used for other things.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the weight loss and all of formerly love tees that once again fit you! How many "new" shirts are TWD shirts? How sweet is that?!
Hugs!
I now have 6 walking dead t shirts that fitx
DeleteHow great!
DeleteHugs!
Would one of the walking dead shirts happen to be one I sent from Georgia USA?
DeleteIt would x
DeleteLOL about the reading glasses. And YAY about newly-fitting t-shirts -- it's like getting a new free wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteI imagine your dogs and cats have something to do with the glasses scatter. Smile!
ReplyDeleteGood progress all round..or should that be less round! Xx
ReplyDeleteWell done on those 6 pounds. That’s a lot of potatoes you’re no longer carrying around. I had a “collection” of old eye glasses, too.
ReplyDeleteWell done!!! Sounds like a winner of a day even if you are knackered this evening. 😊
ReplyDeleteHugs to you and head scratches for Mary, Roger, Bun & Weaver.
I think I found your 6 pounds.
ReplyDeleteXX Ceci
John, tried the email you said above, gmail said they can't find it...
ReplyDeleteIt’s to jgsheffield@icloud.com my mistake xx
DeleteYay for the weight loss! That's great news. I can't believe you have 20 pairs of reading glasses. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! You almost inspire me to get back onto my weight loss effort and to clean up some of my piles of fabric. Probably won't but it is wonderful to hear your success story.
ReplyDeleteReduce plastic waste! Save The Planet! Own only one pair of reading glasses! What the hell do you need so many for anyway?
ReplyDeleteYou've had a very productive day. All is good.
ReplyDeleteThe weight loss is tremendous and just in time for Spring.
Well done John, you'll look like a new man. You'd better find some old smaller trousers too or go shopping before you get arrested. 😂 Mind you, you could use braces.😄
ReplyDeleteJean.
Congratulations on the weight loss! What are you doing different…..I’ve got 40 pounds to lose and not having success with strict calorie counting and exercise. I could use some guidance and encouragement please!
ReplyDeleteWOOOHOOOO!!!!! Healthier too. I love you , you've got this .
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your continuing weight loss! Hope you are feeling great. From Darlene in NZ
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing those aren't prescription glasses.
ReplyDeleteI keep all my old glasses in a big jar. Why do I keep them? I have absolutely no idea!
ReplyDeleteThat is an awful lot of glasses. Well done on the weight loss.
ReplyDeleteJust did a rough check on how many pairs of reading glasses I have got scattered around the house and in handbags.......at least 13 and probably some I couldn't think of. They are mainly from Poundland...£1 each ....and I like to have specs within arms reach wherever I am!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you on the continuing weight loss.
One of the best life tips I ever had, when I started needing glasses for reading. My colleague advised me to buy lots of cheap "readers" and leave them all over the house so I wouldn't waste time looking for that "one pair" x
ReplyDeleteTwenty pairs!! Gosh I thought I was extravagant with four pairs, one in each room and a pair in my bag. :-)
ReplyDeleteWell done on the continuing weight loss. xx
Not as bad but I recently discovered I had eight rolls of scotch tape in a drawer. Eight. I think I'm set for life.
ReplyDeleteWe've a drawer devoted to reading glasses but it doesn't stop my partner from inquiring "where did my glasses go?" to which I reply, "did they grow legs?" which he does not appreciate. Old married couple.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the weight loss! Now you need to tell the rest of us poor struggling slobs how to do it. Seriously. Be specific. Please!
ReplyDeleteGood for you on the weight loss! It seems to have manifested itself in a flurry of activity! I'm losing steadily (but slowly). LOL at the reading glasses. Honestly. I had the same issue. I lost them at an amazing rate. When I bought them, I bought them a half dozen pairs at a time.
