Mac n Cheese

The virus is worse today, apparantly that’s how it’s presenting itself
I had a lemsip and filled up at the Spanish reaction to the flooding.
Mostly young people
A credit to their country.
I was going to have Yorkshire puddings filled with Mac’n cheese for lunch but Roger ate them in the back of Bluebell.
I’ve lost my appetite
And lost it even more when I caught these two with their heads in the macaroni cheese

  1. Your pets can't complain you don't feed them well. :) Hugs. Look out McDonald's.

  3. Bloody cats, and dog. I'm wondering if it's covid, gets treated the same either way, rest and lots of fluids, but it's miserable feeling sick.
Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity.
    Sending hugs sweetie.

  4. The floods and devastation in Spain is beyond awful. All those volunteers with brushes and spades gives one hope for humanity, though.
Those naughty kitties, but then who can resist mac n cheese? Anyway, cheese isn't good if you're full of snot, so maybe they did you a favour! Seriously, though, I hope you're over the worst of it now. Things can only get better! xx

Those little buggers!!! One time we came back from the neighbors thinking our cats were well-behaved to find them on the dining room table nibbling on our leftover plates of food!

  12. Hope you're over the worst of the virus, and see a definite improvement this weekend!
And yes, I did laugh about Roger, Bun and Weaver getting your lunch.
Be kind to yourself, John dear.

I agree that Roger and the twins did you a favor and it's no wonder you didn't find it so funny since you feel so rotten. Hope you have the fixings for a tame but delicious soup, minus milk and cheese.
Come to think of it, you might need leftover containers that have firmly attached lids to keep the contents safe.
Hope you've had a nap today, too, and that will help but, sadly, won't cure.

    Hugs!

  14. Are Yorkshire puddings filled with Mac’n cheese really a thing? They sound stodgy and revolting. Artery clogging in fact. Well done Roger and the twins, although it probably didn't do them any good either.

    2. I've just looked them up - shops are selling them frozen, and there are Tik Tok videos on how to make them!!!!! Soon there'll be dieting jabs on the next shelf to compensate.

    3. I bought them separate and put them together amazing

I was out for lunch yesterday so didn’t fancy any tea. My husband said he would just have beans on toast and then I said to the cat what would you like ‘ salmon turkey or chicken’ at which point his eyes rolled. We both laughed.
    Get well soon

Isn't Yorkshire pudding sort of a dough ball with gravy? And this was then stuffed with Mac and cheese? Interesting, 2 comfort foods in one. And the cats DO look comfortable.

    1. It's more like a choux pastry only savoury and a little denser. And not crisped. Not doughy at all.

  19. Yorkshire Pudding filled with macaroni cheese? Even the idea of that is sacrilegious. If you want to fill me with something let it be joy and laughter!

  21. Hope you feel better soon, John. I'm surprised you left the food where the animals could get at it but I'll blame the virus. You are probably exhausted. xxoo

  22. I was hoping to come here and read that you were past the worst of it. I'm sorry you're still struggling. It is no fun being sick, although your animals seem to be having a very fine time.

  24. Hey, don't blame the cats. Who (besides a sick person) could resist mac n cheese?! :)

I hope you feel much better tomorrow. xx

So sorry that you are still feeling punk. The cats gave me a laugh and also Roger. I love to eat mac and cheese when I don’t feel great. I made some last week and froze most of it so I would have it on those days. Have a nice cuddle with the four legged ones and sleep well. Gigi

  26. It's a good thing you don't have a Labrador; it would eat the container too!

  27. Seems like the animals are taking advantage of you not feeling well :)

  28. Looks like these little two have indeed grown up and feel right at home. I wish you to feel better as soon as possible and that there will be enough food left for everyone.

  30. It would seem your animals are trying to starve you to death, which in a way is rather hopeful, they are obviously not planning to eat your corpse if you keel over ... it will be far too skinny.

I hope you are soon feeling better, this sounds like a rotten virus. :-(

Was hoping you would be over the worst of it by now, poor thing. A pot of chicken soup is in order. The four-leggeds had a feast didn’t they?

Oh no... I thought you would be feeling much better by now.. damn virus! They sure can linger, lots more rest is needed, and more fluid. Those kitties; who can resist a mac and cheese and Roger helping himself also ....it's just like having kids... believe me they do it too. Hope you are feeling better real soon. I agree that chicken soup is in order.
