Flower Show Jobs

It’s been a day of catching up with Flower Show jobs.
I’m chasing up with previous winners who have not returned their cups and already I’m 3 short.
I’ve washed and ironed my mother’s donated table clothes and bought ingredients to make cakes and entries for the cookery classes as well as build up a food hamper from scratch  to support the raffle.
There is enough to do.
An old friend John, is in Llandudno this is week so we are meeting up for dinner tonight.
I’ve also heard from weaver who has eaten a bit better this week because of the positive influence of visitors . She’s been in touch with Rachel, who had shared Weaver’s best wishes around blogland which is nice too.

You sound very busy with your preparations. I think I need to sit down after just thinking about it.

  4. The Flower Show is always so busy and fun, it's wonderful you have revived it.

I love that you still make the effort to use your mother's tablecloths, and that you have this wonderful tactile gift and memory of her. I wonder what happened to the bunting someone made one year? It was so pretty and festive.

I am delighted to hear that Weaver is still with us and that she's enjoyed some good food with friends. This update is appreciated!
Well done in tracking down most of the winner's cups for the flower show and good luck in finding the last 3.
Your planned cake and other goodies sound delicious and hope they turn out perfectly on the day.
Hope all is well with the twins and their Welsh big sister and brother.

    Hugs!

Busy, busy, busy as ever. I hope you find the missing cups... that would be quite stressful trying to track them down. I think there is nothing quite like a village show, we have our A & P show's here which is Agricultural and Pastoral... much the same but think more tractors and livestock on show, plus shearing and herding shows. Great fun. There are also the shed where photography is shown and cakes and slices shown off and also a veg show for certificates. Just bigger scale. Glad to hear that Weaver has managed to eat this week and is a little stronger.

    2. Never seen one in white chocolate. Many, many years ago I bought a Kit Kat that turned out to not have any wafer in it. I wrote, tongue in cheek, to complain, (sending part of a finger as proof), and received a box of at least a dozen various bars of cholocate as compensation!!
