I love this photo of me and auntie Glad. it was the year she opened the show, when she was around 97 (animal helper Pat, Ann Maltoff and Trendy Carol are in the background). You can tell I had a soft spot for the old Gal

ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to see Auntie Glad again and I hope someone has her scones recipe!
ReplyDelete3 cheers for The Flower Show!
Yes it’s back ,just like summer
DeleteI remember how fondly you wrote of her. Such a sweet photo of you both.
ReplyDeleteI still think of her fondly when I need to sort my head out and come to a clear conclusion
DeleteShe was black or white
Auntie Glad and her famous scones. A Trelawnyd legend! Here's hoping you round up all the cups, get loads of entries for all classes and the sun shines for the flower show. xx
ReplyDeleteHope the show goes well..and yes, a sunny day please!
ReplyDeleteAunty Glad was an inspiration. Thanks for introducing her to us and allowing us to get to know her.
ReplyDeleteHaha! 6 out of 6 on that veggie presentation!
ReplyDeleteAww ... that's a lovely photo of the two of you. I think that was the first year I entered some things into the show, it was a good year.
ReplyDeleteWith that blue rosette pinned to your left nipple you look like Nigel Ponsonby-Smythe - the Tory candidate for Eton and Deep Shittington.
ReplyDeleteKeeping the community traditions alive, keeps the community alive.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo John. As my mum used to sy - a picture is worth a thousand words.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo too. Good old Auntie Glad! Gone but not forgotten.

What a strange question. Does it matter if he is or isn't?
DeleteJohn is a good role model, kind, caring and generous,I just thought it would be nice for Leo to have that influence in his life
DeleteRegardless off sexuality I would hope
DeleteDoesn’t matter either way
DeleteThe Blue rosette alarmed me for a moment
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture
