The Welsh poppies are in full bloom beside the Church gates.
I noticed them as I drove to my counselling placement centre which is located in Abergele?
I had my first client which was lovely, a bit stressful due to an anxiety dream last night which surprised me. This had my client drunk and irrational.
Thank goodness it was only a dream..
My first meeting went ok.
This afternoon I’m going for supper with Alistair a friend from Chester, I met him on those lonely Fridays of the Big Gay Quiz in covid lockdown
Those days seem a long way away now.
I love Welsh poppies. I only have one, despite scattering the seeds. My Dad used to deadhead theirs, as they spread everywhere. He said they were like weeds. If only...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the drunk and irrational client was only a dream. You want an uncomplicated client, especially for your first. xx
Thank the lord x
DeleteI learned something, as I often do on blogs like yours and Pat's. I thought all poppies were red. - Jackie
ReplyDeleteHaha Welsh poppies are bright yellow and 5iny in comparison
DeleteIt's good that your first client session went well and wasn't like your bad dream!
ReplyDeleteWelsh poppies, so lovely x
Alison in Wales x
Yes I’m glad
DeleteAnd grateful
DeleteI love them. Jump up unexpectedly all over the place and don't give a damn about colour coordinating with other plants.
ReplyDeleteThey are so flimsy , I never quite believe they survive
DeleteAs I first read an other word, your text inspired me a little haïku ):

DeleteI hope Alistair isn’t drunk and irrational.
ReplyDeleteHe was very funny and rather dry
DeleteThe Welch poppies are beautiful. I'm glad to hear your first client meeting went well. A drama-free first client sounds ideal. The tougher clients can come later.
ReplyDeleteLet me get a few under my belt
DeleteDon't you love anxiety dreams? Mine always feature an elevator and not being able to find a bathroom. And early this AM a tiger in the back garden.
ReplyDeleteCeci
I’m usually placid enough not to have them
DeleteThose yellow poppies are delightful. Hope you have a good day, John.
ReplyDeleteIt’s been a lovely day all told
DeleteIf you find a client of yours is mentally ill beyond your capabilities is there someone you can discuss other option for them - and then refer the client x
ReplyDeleteJohn is doing supervised sessions, he's not qualified yet!

I have those yellow poppies self seeding all over my garden. Glad your first session went well.
ReplyDeleteThey are incredibly cheerful
DeleteAll sounds promising.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a start
DeleteI wish your Welsh poppies would self seed in my garden... they are very cheery, just what I need right now. First client down ... tick! Onwards ... hope you enjoyed your evening.
ReplyDeleteCan I send you some? I suspect it’s illegal to do so
DeleteNow that would be fantastic....but yes you're right highly illegal and frowned upon.. unless I could get clearance and I would have no idea how to go about that and suspect it would be a long drawn out affair and very costly. But thanks all the same :)
DeleteA great start , 99 hours of therapy to go
