Another video of the lisping Spanish Choir…enjoy…..
a quieter day today, some reading , catching up with jobs ,
It’s sunny this morning so the cottage windows are wide open, Roger is watching the blackbird’s back and forth to its nest in the honeysuckle and has been for over an hour now
Carmen live from the Royal Opera House later
I suppose you could say this is “a” lisping Spanish choir.
ReplyDeletelol how are u today x
DeleteI’m here!
DeleteA bucolic image of life at your cottage. I am watching two wrens popping to and fro to their nest in our hedge, today they are quiet too so not to disturb chicks I hope wonderful to just stop and stare, eh John. Jan in Castle Gresley
ReplyDeleteI adore wrens , they love like quicksilver
DeleteYou will have so much fun watching that choir. We have a very foggy morning here. Yesterday afternoon was very warm and now it is coolish.. I think spring has finally sprung, we almost have leaves on the trees. My doggy is going in for dental this morning and she will be having some tooth extractions, so I am a nervous wreck. I will try to finish my book til I pick her up this afternoon.. I had 3 biopsies on my face yesterday for skin cancer so too much for me to deal with right now. Your post yesterday made me think I have been fighting off depression too. I had “situational depression “ in Grenada once, noticed by the doctors where I was being a standardized patient at the medical school. A short course of medication really helped. I know I will feel better when all this medical stuff is done and I can work on getting my teeth fixed too. All you need is money and lots of it. Just you keep on feeling better and better, I’m pushing you. Hugs Gigi
ReplyDeleteI think it’s given a few people food for thought , who knows if it’s true, it’s just on therapists view point
DeleteWhat joyous energy and enthusiasm!!
ReplyDeleteQuietly sorting papers and photos here...with the window shut despite the sun ...still in single figures until after lunch!!
Melancholy x
DeleteWow that choir John - I can't sit still while watching it. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it, they are quite infectious
DeleteYou're going to really enjoy seeing that choir. Lovely signs of spring everywhere. I hope the magpies don't discover the nest. Enjoy your quiet day and the fresh air blowing through the cottage. xx
ReplyDeleteIt’s heavily camouflaged and I use the door which will put most predators off
DeleteI don't here a lisp but I'm getting new hearing aids soon and maybe then I will know what you hear.
ReplyDeleteTina Turner would be proud of that rendition and I would have a hard time standing still during that! :)
All Spaniard lisp English phrases x
DeleteSounds idyllic!
ReplyDeleteNot idyllic but nice
DeleteThe choir is amazing. Enjoy the lovely day, warmth and sunshine sounds good to me. It is raining and cool here....again.
ReplyDeleteIt’s been a nice day
DeleteThere was a couple of birdwatchers hoping to see a cuckoo today - I haven't heard one as yet x
ReplyDeleteI’ve only ever heard the call twice here
Delete"were" flis not "was".
Delete"were" is plural, "was" is singular.
fancy that - and I did go to a skool fo yung ladies to X
DeleteYou paint a wonderful picture with your words, John. I will join you with those open windows. It's lovely and warm here, and it feels like spring has properly arrived. Xx

DeleteHow lvely to add music to a quiet morning.
ReplyDeleteYour description of Roger's focused attention on the birds in the honeysuckle made me smile. What a unique character Roger is!
Hope Carmen floats you blissfully into the air.
Hugs!
The music did, the staging alas didnt
DeleteI really enjoyed the video! - Jackie
ReplyDeleteIt’s lively
DeleteThat's a nice image, of Roger watching the blackbird.
ReplyDeleteIt’s 22.57 and he’s sat by the front door trying to listen to anything through the vent on the door
DeleteHi John, who is the lady in the heading 'growing older in style'? There is a meme of her on Instagram.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.maxisciences.com/sante/les-centenaires-d-un-petit-village-italien-revelent-leurs-secrets-de-longevite_art38668.html
DeleteCan you explain it’s in French , I know they have the same old lady I’ve used on my sidebar
DeleteDebdor, she was a charming elderly lady who was famous for being old for a short time .I liked the look of her and put her in my blog pics to represent the older characters in the village
DeleteI love these clips of this choir. Thank you for them. If I knew how to include a heart emoji here I would. Actually I'd send two. One for yesterday's post and one for today.
ReplyDeleteThank u xx
DeleteI love that conductor and how she was into the music with her shoulders and her smile.
ReplyDeleteYes that ticked me too
DeleteYes the rolling shoulder
DeleteLee
It’s infectious isn’t it
DeleteThank you for the video. Here, the black birds were building in the eaves of the new house. We carefully blocked it all off...and she moved to another eave. Today we sealed off all four corners of the roof.
ReplyDeleteOh I love nests in the eaves
DeleteWe don't mind under the eaves, but they have gotten inside of them, which allows access to the attic. We can't have them inside.
