Normal

Trendy Carol ( probably sporting something springlike in green) sent some flowers around with her hubby yesterday. I told him, and I meant it that I should be the one buying flowers for if it wasn’t for them , I would not have been able to keep my dogs let alone acquire one like Dorothy .

I bought them a bunch of flowers too, and signed them with thanks , Dorothy x

I went to college today then bought some towels on the way home. I’m on annual leave this week

The cottage is quiet, I’m managed to read all your comments tonight , and am thankful I’ve only had to delete a couple , you’re a nice bunch and I feel supported

  3. They are such good friends, to you and the pack. I know you know how lucky you are to have them in your life. There's a Dorothy shaped hole in the cottage which will be there for some time. Make a fuss of Mary and Roger, and treat yourself gently, too. xx

  28. Hope you enjoy what you have planned for your time off. It sounds like a great balance of being productive with the painting, enjoyment at the cinema and opera, and healing time for you. Also time to be close to Mary and Roger as they readjust and have you to themselves.

Trendy Carol and her husband are pure gold. They not only helped and made things possible for you but they have taken the dogs into their hearts.

I was so sorry to hear about Dorothy , she was a real character. You gave her a lovely life , and a thoughtful and peaceful death . She went knowing how much she was loved , and that’s the very best you could have done . You deserve lovely friends cos you’re a kind man . Be extra kind to yourself whilst you’re on annual leave, glad you’ve got some little treats planned in between the painting

Wouldn't it be good if we could get inside the mind of dogs when their dominant one in the pack goes? They sound to be dealing with it in a very pragmatic way John. Mary is after all the Senior one now and it sounds to me as though Roger is more than haooy to let things be. Hugs to all of you and do keep your eye open for a kitten. x PS And do programme some rest time into your time off work list!!
