16.40 Christmas Day
Nothing sweeter than watching Mary happily tottering along the corridors of the hospice from my vantage point of the central office,
Exploring open doors, following a support worker, quietly saying hello to a patient
Running back to the office with a mini sausage roll in her mouth
She’s a sweet natured old gal who suddenly seemed to have the energy of the time she was a puppy
Thank you for your Christmas Wishes
Mary's work is done, as is yours. I hope you can sleep as peacefully as she's doing. xx
ReplyDeleteThis warms my heart. Would love to feel her snuggling contentedly against me.
ReplyDeleteMy wishes are belated (for your time zone) but thinking of you and sending cheer this day. You and Mary brought some joy to Hospice! There is no better gift..... for you, or for the fortunate recipients thereof!

ReplyDeleteGod bless you and Mary for cheering all at your workplace today. Somehow I will find your address and a card will help complete the garland next Christmas. Jan in Castle Gresley
ReplyDeleteVery thoughtful of you to bring her to work with you today, I'll bet the patients loved it. And She got a sausage roll, can't beat that!! Happy Christmas Eve John!
ReplyDeleteNothing better than a snuggly dog to make you feel better. Go Mary. Gigi
ReplyDeleteI feel sure that Mary will have brought some sunshine into the hospice today - for staff, patients and relatives alike. It was a great idea to take her in.

ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely sweetheart... I wonder where the sausage roil came from !
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture of a tired Mary cuddled up with her favorite human. She did work wonders at the hospice today. Hope you all sleeep well and awake refreshed.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Scruffy on the outside, and all sweetness on the inside; my perfect dog.
ReplyDeleteAmen to all the above comments.
ReplyDeleteAnd then she moved on to snaffling you Scotch eggs? A Christmas angel visited the hospice, and her name is Mary. Bless you both.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adventure for li'l Mary -and with such a Christmassy name too! Dearest girl!
ReplyDeleteTeamwork❤️She is a lovely dog
ReplyDeleteAwww, sweet girl - I can almost see her trotting down the halls. We had a surprise visit from our nephew's Corgi yesterday. She was jolly and wiggly, wearing a cute pink harness, and so glad to see people. It was nice to have a furry bit of love. Dogs are such good therapy.
ReplyDeleteThe Hospice could take in a calm older dog.
ReplyDeleteSimply the delights of a child with some one-on-one time and attention instead of having to constantly compete and play their role in the pack. How wonderful and special for Mary. Good job.
