All or nothing.
I’m a bit bored today
Typical.
I took the dogs to the beach and uncharacteristically Dorothy waded up to her nipples in the surf before running for home with her eyes like saucers
I bought halloumi fries from Aldi for tea with homemade curried soup
They always remind me of the Balcony Bar ar the Sydney Opera House
It’s wet and there’s nothing on in the cinema that I want to see
I’ve only spoken to a nice looking man on the beach who asked me how Dorothy’s puppies were getting on.
Yes, just how ARE D''s pups? (Winking eMoji)
ReplyDeleteDorothy was a rescue bulldog, she had puppies at an early age . They would have taken from her and reared by hand
DeleteUnless you have proof of that then not necessarily taken from her and reared by hand. Breeding bitches would feed their own puppies, hence the 'dropped' nipples.
DeleteMost breeders of expensive bulldogs hand rear their puppies. The rescue staff told me that when she arrived
DeleteBut Dorothy obviously fed her puppies herself, as you've already said she has 'dropped' nipples.
DeleteNo drama there.
Films on BBC iPlayer: Meet Me In St Louis, JC Superstar, Some Like It Hot, Yesterday ....
ReplyDeleteMurder under the sun
DeletePuppies? First I've heard of it.
ReplyDeleteBefore I got her pat, but they left their mark
DeleteA meeting on the beach on a hot day?? Sounds familiar to me. Just wait , he could be yours .
ReplyDeleteIf only
DeleteHas Dorothy ever had puppies? Maybe it was just a random question so he could talk to you. Always a strange time of year, betwixtmas. I'm currently watching New Nurses
ReplyDelete(Sygeplejeskolen) a Danish drama series on My 4. It's about a trial to teach men to be nurses. I think you might like it. xx

Dorothy was a rescue bulldog who may have had two littlest of puppies before she came to me . I suspect she was bread from very early. And her nipples were dropped as if she was a brooding bitch
DeletePuppies? Where did that come from? I would have asked, "Do you want one?" Mary is asking for whatever is in that bowl.
ReplyDeleteDorothy looks like a sow from the side
DeletePeople always think Olga has recently had puppies, too. Those bulldog nipples!
ReplyDeleteIt's wet and blowing here like crazy. I've been inside literally all day.
Dorothy needs a bra
DeleteThe homemade curried soup sounds good. Time for a recipe?!
ReplyDeleteEasy
DeleteOne small jar red Thai curry paste
One tin of coconut milk
2 fish stock cubes ( fluid ones)
I cup of milk
Frozen prawns ( optional)
Fry off paste in a little oil
Add everything
Stir
Bingo
Ta x
DeleteI have a very similar recipe except it has butternut squash in place of prawns. Gigi
DeleteI've told you before that Grown Ups should Never get bored!
ReplyDeleteOh I think everyone can get bored just a little
DeleteDid Dorothy not even tell you?
ReplyDeleteNot a word…the slag
DeleteOh, those sweet faces hoping you'll shareQ
ReplyDeleteI agree, perhaps the man on the beach was trying to chat you up and missed the boat?
Bored? I recommend music and a good book (or nap).
Hugs!
I’m watching an odd rehash of Agatha Christie’s MURDER IS EASY
ReplyDeleteIt's feast or famine for you, John. Either you are so, so busy or you get bored at home. Relax and rest up for your next adventures! :)
ReplyDeleteThat’s a Gemini for you
DeleteI'm nearing the end of Oliver Twist. Gadfrey, what a tale! But I went to a thrift store and came home with 3 cookbooks yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI wasn’t bored today I went to the dentist to get my bridge cemented back in. So glad she could do it. Never heard you mention that Dorothy had previously had pups. You surprise me every day. Gigi
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many puppies Dorothy had before you got her. Perhaps she is a grandma now - or maybe a great grandma - or a great great grandma or...
ReplyDeleteBeing an ex-racer, my millys pups are all on record. I often wonder if she misses them.
ReplyDeleteThe soup sounds perfect, I'm going to make it some time
Two days in the recliner recovering from all the excitement. Read that shopping, wrapping, traveling, cooking, cleaning, baking etc! I have watched two movies and read a book. Nothing heavy! Two old movies I liked….The Big Easy with Dennis Quaid and Ellen Barkin and Murphys Romance with Sally Field and James Garner. Relaxed and recovered! Kathy near Chicago
ReplyDeleteI bet the water was chilly, maybe refreshing for the dear old girl.
ReplyDeleteI'm never keen on this bit between Christmas and New Year .... I just want to get back to normal now. BUT .... it won't be too long before Spring is here and we see those fresh, bright green shoots coming through. There's always a plus to be found. XXXX
ReplyDeleteI love the photo, Mary’s nose pressed close to the pan! Jean in Winnipeg.
