That the Village Christmas Tree has been erected outside the hall,
It looks cheerful enough.
The support worker I’ve been working with tonight brought me a curried Scotch egg
Which was bloody lovely.
At home tonight, my festive penguin is the centre of my decorations . I will never have a tree at home if there’s just me to see it,
Everywhere is starting to look festive. How to win a man's heart - a curried Scotch egg. She knows you well! xx
ReplyDeleteShe does indeed xx
DeleteAll good news! enjoy
ReplyDeleteπ²πππ
DeleteI knew a scotch egg would do the trick.
ReplyDeleteThe panacea of all ills
DeleteAll looking very Christmasy.
ReplyDeleteππ πΌπ²π
DeleteTrees and wreaths are beautiful. I just can't wrap my head (or lips) around Scotch eggs.
ReplyDeleteI need to take you in hand
DeleteA sparkly gold tree..now that should lift people's spirits...as much as a Scotch egg?!
ReplyDeleteIt is those little touches that pull a working team together, however big or small
I agree, sometimes I bring chocolate bars in for everyone or choc ices-bin summer
DeleteAre you having a Christmas tree in your cottage? I might have suggested a dozen scotch egg baubles but Dorothy would be up that tree like a ferret up a drainpipe.
ReplyDeleteNo ,,I’ve never had a tree since my husband left, it seems an indulgence for one
DeleteIt's all beginning to look a bit festive.
ReplyDeleteYes let’s all get in the mood
DeleteI reckon world problems could be solved over a scotch egg or two, more so if it was curried.
ReplyDeleteOh yes…….a kosher one and an halal
DeleteEgg in a falafel?
DeleteThe world needs more scotch eggs.
ReplyDeleteAmen
Deletesometimes I think the world just needs more scotch, really.
DeleteThat's a beautiful tree. A curried Scotch Egg sounds like a whole new level of wonderfulness for you. Perhaps a Christmas Dinner flavoured one could be experimented with, it would be handy to take on shift with you if you are working at all over the Christmas period.
ReplyDeleteGood idea , I am working xmas eve and xmas day ,
DeleteAll looking so festive in your village and everyone doing their lovely things to make the season fun, fun, fun. PS will be thinking of you later today as we have a Black Pudding Scotch Egg to devour. Jan in Castle Gresley
ReplyDeleteOh be still my beating heart x
DeleteJust seeing those decorations puts me in a mood to do some Christmas decorating myself. I haven't done it in a few years.
ReplyDeleteGet yer arse into gear ,, you are married now
DeleteIt all looks so Christmassy in your neck of the woods John ...... you can't beat twinkly fairy lights. { and, in your case, a scotch egg or two. } XXXX
ReplyDeleteI know I’m so predictable
DeleteWould love to try a scotch egg, but can’t find them over here. That one looked so good. Your sisters wreath is very pretty, so much talent in your family. Im not really looking forward to Christmas but go through the motions, might even get my tiny tree from the boat up from the basement, I do like the tiny fairy lights on it. I leave the decorations on it all the time and just pop it into a plastic bag after Xmas so no biggy. Gigi
ReplyDeleteThey are not hard to make . Buy some sausages and cut out the meat. Bind with an egg and wrap around a soft boiled egg, dip in egg again and coat in breadcrumbs
DeleteDeep fry until just golden
Curried scotch egg sounds delicious. Nothing like a bit of gastronomic fusion to perk up the tastebuds!
ReplyDeleteIt was a simple gift but a much appreciated one x
DeleteChristmas spirit abounds!
ReplyDeleteThat all looks so festive, John. There is Covid in my house so we are sleeping and resting a lot. I will rally now as my son has caught it from me so I'll take care of him as I'm feeling better.
ReplyDeleteLook after yourself, it’s a difficult strain x
DeleteIt's all looking very festive , lovely x
ReplyDeleteIt’s getting that way , we had a hard long shift too, the tree helped
DeleteIt is the season. Everything is looking like Christmas. I love it! Time to celebrate. The more the merrier.
ReplyDeleteIt’s cheerful , I’ll grant you that
DeleteA curried Scotch egg? I didn't know such a thing existed! But why not?!
ReplyDeleteOh it’s a delight
DeleteIs the light in the window beside the tree a reflection? I love the look of that photo. I wish I had known about Scotch Eggs when I visited England, Scotland and Wales. Even if I could find one here in the states, I don't think it would taste the same. Jackie
ReplyDeleteIt is, but looks like a face
DeleteI meant the tree with the blue lights. Jackie
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a face of an animal doesn’t it ?
DeleteYes! Jackie
DeleteThe Scotch Egg angel sounds a lovely person x πΌπ³
ReplyDeleteHer name is Diane , and she is one of life’s kind people .I am very fond of her
DeleteMerry Christmas John,I’m a bit jealous of your scotch egg π
ReplyDeleteHands off bitch
DeleteI can't find any enthusiasm for Crimble decs this year, Don't know why. A curried scotch egg sounds nice though! I don't know what wine one would drink with it ? Maybe a cocktail with a cheeky pickle on a stick. I am available for matters of etiquette advice.......hehehe x
ReplyDeleteI’ve just had four Christmases like that its time to enjoy what I can grasp
DeleteGrasp away! Take all you can and hold it close. I shall keep my eyes open for a tasty, educated chap with a good sense of humour. Then I will wrap him prettily and post him to you x
DeleteI see Roger in the shadows in your last photo!
ReplyDeleteLovely trees and your sister's wreath is a delight.
Why would you do without a tree? Our basset hound adored lying undfoer our Christmas tree and seemed to think it was there just for her pleassure.
Ah, a scotch egg variation: durry!
Hugs!
A tree needs to be shared with a loved one
DeleteFestive penguin ...lol...yes, we all have a festive penguin, don't we...guess anything would do if we put lights on and a red and green bow. Love your silliness and your passion for everything.
