Breakfast

Never not a man of habit , I’m sitting with my coffee at a table.
The hotel Papadopolis overlooks the small pretty gardens with the same name and I feel rather cosmopolitan as I seem to be surrounded by guests from all nations
It’s a glorious day, I have my hat ready and I think we are off to Murano

  3. If Venice is like a film set, I wonder which role you are playing... perhaps Bassanio. It's a wonderful place to go.

It would be nice if you find yourself a small piece of Murano to bring home! I brought an ash tray as it was all I could afford, never used as not a smoker, lol. Enjoy your day, GG

  10. The Papadopoli looks very swish indeed. And in one of the quieter parts of Venice. Enjoy Murano!

    1. Unless she's smouldering on her funeral pyre there's not much chance x

    3. “ News of actress Sophia Loren’s death spread quickly …. However the June 2023 report has now been confirmed as a complete hoax and just the latest in a string of fake celebrity death reports. ”

Last time we were in Venice we rented an apartment for 6 nights. Spent more on glass than the rest of the trip (which also included time in Florence and Rome).

We enjoyed having a coffee / beer in a traditional bar down by the old market and then got a traghetto gondola to cross the grand canal and explore the other side . The old boat yard area is lovely too . Harry’s bar is expensive dnd really not worth it ! Have a wonderful time John xx Bernie
