Never not a man of habit , I’m sitting with my coffee at a table.
The hotel Papadopolis overlooks the small pretty gardens with the same name and I feel rather cosmopolitan as I seem to be surrounded by guests from all nations
It’s a glorious day, I have my hat ready and I think we are off to Murano
Enjoy! Catriona
ReplyDeleteGo and see some glass blowing....the closest you will get to a holiday blow in that hat x
ReplyDeleteHo ho
DeleteIf Venice is like a film set, I wonder which role you are playing... perhaps Bassanio. It's a wonderful place to go.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying your holiday so far. 😎
ReplyDeleteI am so pleased for you that you actually got there this time!
ReplyDeleteI see some Murano glass buying in your future! Maybe a nice little vase for your garden flowers. xx
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if you find yourself a small piece of Murano to bring home! I brought an ash tray as it was all I could afford, never used as not a smoker, lol. Enjoy your day, GG
ReplyDeleteLucky you. Is it as busy as I imagine it would be?
ReplyDeleteWish we were there, enjoy
ReplyDeleteThe Papadopoli looks very swish indeed. And in one of the quieter parts of Venice. Enjoy Murano!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip! Looks lovely!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you have yet seen Sophia Loren smouldering in a hidden backstreet in Venice x 🏛☕
ReplyDeleteUnless she's smouldering on her funeral pyre there's not much chance x
DeleteSophia Loren is quite alive at 88!

“ News of actress Sophia Loren’s death spread quickly …. However the June 2023 report has now been confirmed as a complete hoax and just the latest in a string of fake celebrity death reports. ”
DeleteThank goodness for that Fresca - Mavis worried me there x🍧🍷

DeleteYou're off to a great start! Have fun today!
ReplyDeleteTo to Burano too!
ReplyDeleteMy cousin just posted a beautiful picture of herself sipping cappuccino in Castello, Venice. Venice seems to be calling to me this morning.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your adventures today.
Last time we were in Venice we rented an apartment for 6 nights. Spent more on glass than the rest of the trip (which also included time in Florence and Rome).
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Murano as I am sure you will. Also Venice ~ a magical city. Ro (n.w. Italy)
ReplyDeleteSo nice. So civilized.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed having a coffee / beer in a traditional bar down by the old market and then got a traghetto gondola to cross the grand canal and explore the other side . The old boat yard area is lovely too . Harry’s bar is expensive dnd really not worth it ! Have a wonderful time John xx Bernie
ReplyDeleteOh, I envy you the excitement of traveling!
ReplyDeleteI hope that both you and your hat enjoyed a wonderful day. Xx
ReplyDeleteOh, Murano!! What glorious eye candy. Happy sigh.
ReplyDeleteHope the rest of today is equally colorful and fun.
Hugs!
Murano - how wonderful! Have a fabulous time. Sally.
ReplyDeleteJust that one photo captures the sunshine and the holiday feel. Have a great time.
ReplyDeleteNever made it to Murano but had an enjoyable visit to Burano with its colorful houses! Glad you are having fun, John!
ReplyDeleteThe glory and splendor of Venice...enjoy!
ReplyDeleteDid you resist buying a piecce of glass?
