Albert The Dinosaur

I saw my birthday dinosaur on Facebook ( link below)
And he intrigued me so much , that I had to buy him.
Judy who made him, kindly sold me him at friends rates as she likes Going Gently
I was asked if I would post more photos of him
So here he is

I have several such pieces hidden away in plants and in corners, the gargoyle in the fireplace, my fat naked man looking gloriously buff on my desk, my homemade camel with the enormous hump in my window.
Nu’s homemade daisy fruit bowl on my bedroom drawers, my stone family figures on the kitchen art wall

Funny what pleases eh?

  2. He looks a friendly dinosaur! I love it when people have quirky things in their house and garden. Shows their personality. Yours says fun-loving, doesn't take himself too seriously, sense of humour, an individual with taste! xx

  3. Are you sure it's a 'he' ? It might be an Alberta or Albertine...;)

Not sure I could cope withhim John - he has quite a scary look. But I do agree with the idea of having things dotted around - with me it is reminders of places I have been. I have a little brown bowl I bought in Samarkand - I dropped it some years ago and broke it into ten pieces. I glued it together badly but I still love it dearly. It will certainly die with me.

  10. I love him! I think he's very you :-) I do love seeing people's homes filled with things that are unique or quirky and simply spark joy. I'd rather support an independent artist than a multi million pound store industry any day!

  11. I think Albert is a very handsome beast and reflective of you (flirt flirt). I did visit her site and she has a wonderful winged draggon with a lovely red hat on that I hope to buy when I have some of that stuff called expendible cash. Hope you had a wonderful birthday and are now feeling a part of the over 60 group and the joy that aging can actually be. Love and hugs my friend.

  12. I hope that dinosaur does not come to life while you are sleeping. I can imagine him coming up the stairs with his tongue flickering, looking for meat, attracted by the rhythmical light snoring of a 61 year old male blogger.

Your dinosaur has great personality and a wonderful side eye! So right at home with everyone in the cottage. (I am not a dinosaur fan, but he is lovely!)

Why keep calling it a dinosaur - on the website it's clearly listed as a LIZARD

  14. It is indeed "funny what pleases". In contrast to your incredible and impressive collection of ornaments, pictures, plant pots indoors and out, cushions and many, many miscellaneous other what-nots, I enthusiastically embrace minimalism, but I do have on display around the house... two university mugs, a small world globe, and two pictures on two walls. Less dusting for me than you, I suppose? I do look at stuff in museums though. You should sell tickets to your one?

I ran marathons in Arctic Bay N.W.T. A long time ago and always came home with a soapstone? carving. I love them all but have a friend who keeps telling me to sell them. I will never sell them because they are part of my comfort objects and a lot are quirky like me! Love your quirkies too. GG toronto

Seems to me that your new dinosaur has turned his/her hear as if some called its name!
We have Kermit and 3 Doozers (think Fraggle Rock).
It's all about what makes you happy.
