The Morning After the night before

6 am returned too quickly
Not even the dogs wanted to get up.
A hot shower
Lots of Clinique Happy
A strong flavoursome MacDonald’s coffee
I wanted to finish The Passengers by Will Ashon today
I haven’t time to précis it
But have a look , it’s intriguing ….totally intriguing

No bats or foxes in the lane this morning

  1. I'll look out for that book. I hate those mornings when you have to get up, but your body and mind isn't ready yet. I seem to play catch up all day. Luckily, now, they're few and far between! Hope the shift goes swiftly for you. xx

  3. The only pressure I have experienced for ages is getting to school during exam season - all go for weeks - have to be organised and put my sensible head on - I've browsed your book John and I understand it may include connections - which I have sensed in my day to day encounters for 3 years x

  4. Ah, if only all it took was Clinique Happy. The book does look interesting... just by the character descriptions.

Oh sorry, a hip-hop group from the '90s. I need to do some research, clearly.

  6. Another day of work, hope it is quiet and you can find a little reading time, maybe read a patient to keep them company.

  7. You'll probably need a few extra cups of coffee to carry you through the day. Hopefully your work day will not be a demanding day. A nice glide through the day would be ideal.

Hope your work shift is pleasant and your coworkers are a delight.

    1. The whole thrust about the book it the “ arbitrary” nature of how the stories were collected

  12. MacDonald's coffee is surprisingly good isn't it. We had a motorway break and the shortest queue on Friday was in MacDonald's. I was impressed with my black coffee ... not as impressed with the food, it sat in my tummy like a lead balloon for hours!!
