Meet Up

I’m meeting one of my fellow bloggers .
It’s Libby and she’s on holiday in Llandudno .
We are meeting at Osborn House , the boutique hotel/ restaurant where I was married.
It’s ok, I’ve been once before and that visit didn’t trigger any sentimental reactions .

Now I don’t go out of my way to meet my fellow bloggers. Blog friendships are odd and often just one sided as perhaps they know all about the you, well the you want them to know and you often don’t them as much.
Having said this , all of the bloggers or followers I have met have been delightful characters,  David Travel Penguin , Steve ShadowLight, Ilona Meanqueen, Diane and Gary who came to my biggest Open Allotment days are just a few that spring to mind and I have around five or six others that I just know I would get along with very well if they turned up in Trelawnyd with a few beers and a scotch egg or two .

There are also a couple I’d dearly like to meet over a glass of wine and a romantic meal but that would be telling lol

Today’s cooking
Spiced Korean pork, wrapped in cabbage leaves and homemade mini pork and herb patties

  1. Have a lovely chatty time -You are quite safe from me John - though if I lived nearer and bumped into you with my dogs - you'd hear us coming - there would be such a commotion with all the furry ones I'd have to hurry away x ☕ 🍰

  6. I'm sure you'll have a lovely time. I sometimes wonder if I'll bump into you some time in Liverpool, but I'd just say hello and be on my way! 😁 xx

  7. . . . . . . . .and I'm still trying to fit in a side trip to Wales to see you when heading home to Devon! That Atlantic 'pond' just gets wider and wider to cross, and I'm getting older and older. One never knows though - may surprise you yet John.
Mary (and of course Bob will be with with!)

  10. It's always fun to meet a fellow blogger, but yeah, there's a certain surrealness (?) in knowing so much about them while actually knowing very little. If that makes sense. Hope to see you in London again one of these days!

An arranged meet up is lovely but not those who appear on your doorstep unannounced!

  20. I have only once met a blog reader. I was working at Haddock's when a couple turned-up on bikes and asked if I was Cro. They later said they'd have known Haddock's anywhere! They were very nice people. They didn't stay for long, and didn't say who they were or how they'd found me.

  25. Enjoy the meet up, and you will be in our favourite place, Osborn House is lovely isn't it. I always find it a much more balanced meet up when it's with a fellow blogger. I've been surprised a few times when people start reeling off to me what I've done and when I did it ... and I know virtually nothing about them!!

Of course Scotch Eggs are a way to many a bloggers heart. ;-)

I would love to call in on you John - we have been blog pals for so many years. It won't happen now but I can dream (especially when I see that food you have cooked.
