Kindness

Kindness has a power all of its own when it is witnessed
In an Istanbul football match yesterday the crowds donated thousands of teddy bears to lift the spirits of the babies and young children caught up in the recent earthquake .

And the.act of giving lifts the human spirit

  1. Yes, the news is full of human nature at its worst, then occasionally, like the football fans, at its best. Simple acts of kindness shine out above the rest. I'm reminded of the quote, "If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours." xx

Sweetness, kindness, and the light of peace all in huggable stuffed toys.

    Hugs!

  5. That is beautiful to see. Here in Canada and likely the USA, minor hockey leagues have a "teddy bear toss" near Christmas every year. It has come to include hats and mittens, scarves and gloves as well. All donated to various charities and children in the hospital. I have been to a few and the ice is totally covered and volunteers are out with snow shovels picking it up. Quite a site to see.

    1. I’ve heard complaints of why didn’t they give money ?
And those voices just don’t get it
They don’t get the visual power that kindness can generate
