Got home late tonight after a busy shift
Wanting to talk catch up with a friend and relax with beer in front of the fire but
Ended up with back ache watching episode three of The English a western with Emily Blunt
Which featured a very odd female Welsh villain called Black Eyed Mog
The whole evening feels a bit surreal
Roger has given me a black eye
Hope you had some tasty leftovers so you didn't have to cook after that busy shift.
ReplyDeleteHow did Roger give you a black eye?
Sweet dreams!
Hugs!
My darling Scruffy was a lively one - I picked him up and as he struggled to wriggle loose his head swung backwards and I felt a thud on my eye swelling instantly - a wopper of a black eye x 😎
ReplyDeleteOh, Fritzi better never give me a black eye. She is bad enough with her speed scratching my legs and taking my socks off whether I want her to or not. She was so proud of helping my husband pull his long socks off the other day, and he was happy that she had done it, that she continues to repeat the action on my warm house socks that are hard for me to put back on. my little old Fuzzy Pom would feel so guilty if he accidentally hurt me some way, Miss Fritzi seems to take joy in making me scream in pain. I hope she mellows soon.
ReplyDeleteA back ache and a black eye! What? Both together. One would be bad enough. Roger, you are a naughty boy!
ReplyDeleteRoger: "Over and Out!"
ReplyDeleteOh dear, hope the black eye is short term - poor Rog didn't mean to!
ReplyDeleteCeci
Did Roger punch you in the face? How did he give you a black eye?
ReplyDeleteHe jumped on me and paw suckerpunched me in left eye
DeleteWe watched Episode 3 of the latest "The Crown" series tonight. It was all devoted to the al Fayed family. Judy said "They're padding the series." I sorta liked it.
ReplyDeleteNetflix should be ashamed of themselves, the whole series is a fictional account, and they have the nerve to attempt to make people believe the trash that they are peddling!
DeleteI was no fan of Diana, and always thought that she was a tad unstable, but Netflix have actually filmed scenes in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel, where the fatal accident occurred, which is appalling!
You couldn't pay me to watch such dross!
Next time you'll know better than to get smart with Roger, won't you now?
ReplyDeleteI hope Roger gave you a few licks to say sorry.
ReplyDeleteFor a moment I thought the post would be about Albert.
ReplyDeleteWhat a weird character!
Sounds like Roger is getting a bit lively too.

ReplyDeleteRoger is just showing who's top dog. Better watch out John! xx
DeleteHow did Roger give you a black eye? I've read great things about “The English.”
ReplyDeleteAh. Easily done..daughter got headbutted by her cat once...
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that, even being an American, I have never been a fan of westerns. But, the title of your post and the fact that Roger blackened your eye made me curious what a "Black Eyed Mog" was. So I googled it. And now I am binge watching The English. Don't know why it is so intriguing. It is disturbingling entertaining.
ReplyDeleteShe seems an odd character based on a real woman
DeleteI've only watched two episodes of the The English and I'm enjoying it so far. I've always had a thing for westerns. If you haven't already watched Godless, (on Netflix) you should. It's about a western town run by women after all the men die in a mining accident. I've watched the series twice and will probably watch it again.
ReplyDeleteWe just finished The English mini-series. Emily Blunt is awesome in such a strange show with a very unexpected ending! The photography and music are wonderful - even though this was no true 'Western' being filmed in Spain! Don't expect anything compared to a traditional wild west movie - be ready for much more.
ReplyDeleteTell that adorable Roger to be more gentle with you.
She's certainly villainous-looking.
ReplyDeleteThe actress playing Mog pretty much stole the scenes she played in. What a deeply creepy character!
