Cushions

Mrs Trellis caught me hanging my underpants on the garden bushes this morning.
I don’t need a washing line as I tend to wash small loads at 30 degrees.
I tell you this as a bit of fluffing.
She was walking Blue who has matured into a calm elderly greyhound with a graceful neck, and as Mrs Trellis has shrunk a little with age , I always think that when she walks him he resembles a large alpaca rather than a dog, so noticeable the change in height.
I asked her how old Blue was and she told me that he was eleven .
He looks good” I told her
“ He eats what I eat “ she told me as way as an explanation
“He had porridge for breakfast”

I met chic Eleanor for brunch which was lovely ( the meeting not the food) and caught up with her news.
I haven’t seen her for a couple of months and she looked relaxed and radiant
We arranged to go out for dinner with some mutual friends soon.

And that’s about it for today so far.
I popped to see my sister, bought some nice cushions from TK MAX and did grocery shopping,
I also washed the dog throws and hung them in the sun on the field gate, watered my laburnum and walked the dogs twice, both times holding three leads in one hand!

Blogger is playing up again

  3. Mrs. T seems to keep watch over you and your routines. I bet she likes a chat and be in the know. Undies on the shrubs makes me laugh. It is hard to go to TKM and not come out with something. Nice cushion.

  4. Maybe fold-up wooden drying rack? I can just picture you w ants or spiders--or a BEE! in your panties. [You do know it is ecologically and financially more efficient to wash full large loads of wash, in moderate temps?]

  5. What a lovely, pottering about day. I have a washing line that I just hook out when needed, and the rest of the time it's in the peg bag. I'd worry about my (not so) smalls blowing away into the neighbour's garden if they weren't well pegged! Mind you, I seem to remember you mentioning your undies ending up in the lane. xx

  6. Well someone is seeing your underwear. Someone should write a book on differences in laundry habits around the world. If my dryer stops working, it is a major crisis.

  11. Mrs Trellis is a refined lady. She does not need to see your sagging, holey Y-fronts cast upon a bush when promenading with Blue. Does she have Pedigree Chum at teatime?

Not lazy at all. The sunlight bleaches and cleans for free.

  17. The more bucolic French are wont to hang their washing on bushes rather than a washing line. They also leave anything white out over night saying that moonlight bleaches them. I doubt if this is true.

  18. A good day. Our neighbourhood seems to have changed and it's not often now that I have a chat with someone passing as most are in their cars. I miss it.

  19. I don't think I could cope with 3 leads! I have a friend's dog here this week, and 2 leads is more than enough. I spend a lot of time " stretched", with one dog trying to sniff ahead, and the other pulling the other way behind me. Also swapping the leads round my hands as they keep changing places in front, behind etc.

  20. I adore toss pillows and so does my dog. He would never greet someone at the door without a pillow in his mouth. I'm assuming he feels naked without one. He has a few of his own but often grabs one of mine when feeling rushed. As a result, my pillows become scruffy looking due to dog slobber stains. Your post reminded me that I'm due for a pillow shopping excursion. (A pleasing thought!)

  21. Looking after 2 x Miniature Shih Tzu's prior to daughters divorce, and more used to big bouncy Rotties, when we last had dogs. Therefore being unaccustomed to 'picky eaters' and fed up wasting money on poncey packet dog foods for them to 'try'. I thought sod it and they are now wolfing down pasta with veg, mash with veg, chicken dishes, various beans, fish pie etc. And they are loving their new diet, so is my purse! Tess x
