Work is quieter today
It goes like that sometimes.
I got a rerun of the Queen's Flypast up.on YouTube for the nurses and housekeepers to watch.
Everyone mooned over the Queen and the great grandchildren lined up before her
She looked genuiningly happy
Andrew has covid …yeah right
I hope if I ever get to 95, I look as good as she does. 70 years in the same job, not many can say that! xx

ReplyDeleteDebra, The Sovereign Grant is part of her own money that is returned to her by the government. I'm not sure but it amounts to about 75% of her actual private income. The Government keeps the rest. No-one 'pays' her anything.
DeleteI do hope Her Majesty The Queen would not be offended as I can only celebrate her Reign with red ,white and blue balloons which I still have to inflate and attach x
ReplyDeleteI thought she looked brilliant ..... I think people forget that she is 96 ..... and, didn't she do well to stand on the balcony for quite a long time ..... not easy when you are a bit unsteady on your pins ! Hope you are still celebrating your birthday John ? XXXX

DeleteYes, the Queen 👑 definitely looked quite lovely in her light blue outfit! Little Louis was acting the typical 4 year old! LOL Kate and William are both so gorgeous! Charlotte and George were both behaving appropriately for the balcony appearance!

ReplyDeleteShe did look genuinely happy but I also thought how unwell her cousin appeared. Loved watching the Trooping of the Colour.
ReplyDeleteI did think that she could have had a chair to sit on to watch the planes, and when she was walking to press the blue globe I was astonished that no one was near enough to grab her if she tripped/fell! I suppose that she is a proud woman and didn't want to appear frail.
