Jubilee Concert

I've cried through most of it

Loved Diversity. And Rod Stewart and the rappers ...so pacy .....lovely to see George and Charlotte there.....the Royal Family has been reincarnated

Loved the Queen's aside with Padington Bear

She looked so genuine

I loved her

And we've only got up.to Duran Duran.

The Camilla thing is now old hat, they've been married for years for goodness sake! She's a working Royal and has proved her worth, the Queen accepted her long ago and has made it clear she wants her to be Queen Consort when Charles is King. Why keep on dredging up the old stuff.

    5. My point was that the palace was clearly lining up the next players in the story
Camilla and Charles then William and Kate and the children … they way forward was clear

  6. The Jubilee concert sounds outstanding and the line-up of bands is excellent. Everything about this Platinum celebration is so well orchestrated. I wish there was better coverage in the US. We need a break from all the horrible news in the US...

    1. Yes, I found the whole thing very emotional.
I can cry at anything as you know, but it felt the end of an era and the start of a new one
      Did you get that vibe?

  9. What a totally brilliant show. Who else in the world could put on a show like that. It makes you proud (if you weren't already) to be British.

I like the fact no one can grandstand , they’ve got to perform and then bang your off

    1. Yes Duran Duran was somewhat lacklustre , I loved the Paddington aside, as the Queen looked genuinely amused , and more animated than her Olympic debut

  11. Watching the Queen's Christmas Address is a tradition of mine that I cherish. She is amazing. But the Paddington Bear Tea took the cake on it all. I hope the person who came up with that bit of media has a long and prosperous career, and I can see more of the work done.

  12. Watching from the States, I enjoyed every condensed minute! Much better than any Olympic pre/post show that I have ever seen. The graphics department should get a knighthood (or whatever accolade is given). Great show.
