I’m tired tonight
We had a nice long walk with Eleanor earlier today
And we are all dozing early
I’m off to bed shortly and it’s well before nine
Chic Eleanor made my day,
She took my arm when we walked,
And didn’t let go
And she hugged me long and hard when we parted
It was lovely
Good to have a friend who knows when you need a hug

Not sure if your Birthday is today, or tomorrow......wishing you (hopefully not post occaision) a Happy Birthday! The big 60, woohoo! And..... Chic Eleanor sounds like such a warm, lovely person....... one can never give or receive enough true hugs (IMO).

ReplyDeleteI saw what you did there ;). I'm catching up on your posts - hope the big day went well - a belated happy birthday to you. Some people throw big parties on significant birthdays. On my 60th a few months back I went for a long walk. The bonhomie of a few good friends always appealed to me more than a 'rave up' tbh. X
