Bad & Good News

Bloody hell! I was pinged by Track and Trace this afternoon ?..
Seeing that I’ve had my jabs ( though not long after my booster) I don’t have to social isolate but the call line operator told me I shouldn’t go to the theatre tonight. Tomorrow I need a test.
Bloody irritating

I’ve deleted the app

That’s the bad news
The good news is more delightful

The lovely Hattie messaged me today.
A couple of days ago she had her baby, a beautiful bouncing and rather late baby girl called Freya Mary
Mum, Dad and baby are all doing well

Hattie and her lockdown baby, My Mary
Then her Freya Mary

What a shame you've been pinged and have to miss the theatre. I bet your test comes back negative, too. I'm glad I don't have a smart phone! xx

  8. Freya Mary is a beautiful name for a beautiful baby girl!

Since I don't do the app thing, and my phone is (smartly) off most of the time, it's one worry avoided. There are a few benefits to being somewhat old fashioned. --Elise

  13. Beautiful Jackolantern. I love how they glow.

Baby Freya Mary is adorable, so pretty and alert.

Too bad you got pinged. It all seems a bit , well, desperate? hopeless? as just yesterday you were in a theater seeing the Bond film w/ presumably many possible maskless people. Let's hope your booster vaxx worked and al that happens is you must stay home? a few days.

    hugs

    1. I had to look up the pronunciation, was surprised it is Fray-uh. I thought Free-uh or Fry-uh. Have never heard the name spoken. It's quite lovely, isn't it.

  15. ps-I've heard of a few being pinged but I don't think I've got anything that could do that on my phone-worringly though when I went to the shop several were coughing and not many wearing masks-I had to ask for the manager in the supermarket as the hand gel was stinky and the sanitizing station was dirty x

  18. Freya Mary, Hattie, and your Mary are all beautiful.

I am sorry you were pinged. I live in the land of spotty cell service, so if they need to tell me anything of importance, the landline is really the best way.

  21. Congrats on the birth of that beautiful little girl!!! Freya is such a pretty name, its there a story behind that or family name? Love it.

Sorry about the track and trace thing, I don't know what that is? Is it something that lets you know you had an exposure somewhere?

  22. Oh, what a nuisance -particularly as you're thoroughly jabbed. Here we are required to use the Covid app everywhere, because not everyone is double jabbed yet. The area where I live is above 95% double jabbed so we're pretty safe.
Congratulations Hattie and family. I love the name Freya, I taught a Freya and she was a fabulous, spunky girl who overcame huge odds to become a competent reader and writer and I had huge admiration for her courage - may this little one have those same qualities, and hopefully not the same obstacles to overcome. Lovely photos.

  27. Beautiful Marys!
Sorry you have been pinged, but a good system really.
An interesting fact though...the lat flow tests can be positive to a group of viruses. Only the PCR does the Covid 19 alone.

  29. Lovely little girl! And I love her name! No such thing here in the states as track and trace (that I know of) for if there were, good Lord the uproar that would ensue. I imagine it's coming, though. Sigh.

  30. I would delete the app too. I have had my three shots, now leave me alone. Is my opinion.

Why have you deleted the app? Because you don't want anything to spoil your enjoyment of life such as going to the theatre? Would you rather spread the virus around to vulnerable people?
