The Walking Dead Episode 6

I’ve been loyal to The Walking Dead for over ten years now, and today , I must admit, I am so glad I have been .
Under various showrunners the series , has, at times, been variable to say the least , but under the assured piloting of Angela Kang , the last season has returned to its horror roots and has provided several stand alone set pieces full of suspense and nail biting moments.
Episode 6 was such a set piece where the deaf character Connie ( the deaf actress Lauren Ridloff) found herself trapped in a gothic mansion with Virgil and a group cannibalistic humans
It was a truly terrifying hour that left me somewhat exhausted by the time they were saved by an all female group from Alexandria
The series, by the look of things is going out with a bang

The power was out in the village just after 6 am so I've had to feel my way to work....

  1. The Walking Dead sounds terrifying at times but really good too. You will miss it when it finishes I think? It's been a long time.

  3. It was, in my opinion, one of the best episodes of the entire series. The scenes with Connie, trapped and separated from Virgil, and filmed in complete silence were outstanding. I hope the rest of the series continues like this. I bet it was a bit creepy going to work in a power cut after watching that!

  4. Not my type of programme. Hope the power outage wasn't a cover for the cannibalistic humans? xx

  5. There's enough of that here John(not cannabilism hopefully)but someone in the vicinity asked if they looked like a dead person walking the other day-and scarily they do especially now it's getting so much darker x

  6. I am waiting for it to come out on Netflix, I have lost too much faith in the show to watch it now.

  8. Zombies ... the "walking dead" ... I wonder what you'd do if that was an actuality!! Personally, I find the entire premise ridiculous ... so ... each to their own!!
You might like the new show "Y - The Last Man" where everyone with a Y chromosome dies!!

Not a show for me as I've never been able to sit through that sort of movie - starting with Journey to the Center of the Earth when I was a child (pitiful, isn't it?). Glad you enjoyed the tension and thrill.
Hope the power was back on before the things in the freezer thawed or melted.

    Hugs!

  12. I'm glad it's going strong, though I probably won't come back to it. We watched all the way through the last season but I feel pretty much done with it now!

  13. I agree, it's been a long slog, with some seasons being dire. I thought the new tribe a bit OTT and "raised by wolves".

I just want to know what happened to Rick!

  14. I'm an avid fan of the WD. I have a wish that Rick comes back in the helicopter to save the world. At the moment, it is going into so many directions, one can only imagine how the series is going to end.

  15. Anxious to stir up another kind of fun, Spencer Locke and Silas Brooks start to get busy in the main area of the house, where anyone could walk in….at any time.
