The weather has turned again.
It’s colder and damp and everything looks a wet brown/green
The ponies are back though,
Cheerfully clearing the field with heavy breaths.
I’m meeting a friend for brunch
More healthy today. I’ve got to lose another 8 lbs before my nephew’s wedding
A few hours later and everything has changed. Sunny spells and warmth in the sun
And a Prom walk……
Enlarge this photo and trelawnyd’s Gop hill is the second hill on the left in the far distance
Hope someone will give the ponies 'coats' for the cold nights forecast ahead, not to mention coming months.
ReplyDeleteThey are well looked after Raymondo xx
DeleteOh, that view though!
ReplyDeleteSay hello to the onset of Fall.
ReplyDeleteAutumn xxx
DeleteYou have a lovely view. It's certainly autumnal today. Let's hope we get an Indian summer. Glad you're back on the healthy eating regime. You are doing so well, it'd be shame to blow it now! xx
ReplyDeleteWe've just had one. It appeared to end yesterday although the sun is shining again now.
DeleteInstead of losing weight why not just wear a corset?
ReplyDeleteI want to loose 4 pounds before Firefly gets out of rehab. I have 17 days.
ReplyDelete3 years ago I lost lots by eating only raw carrots and apples and drinking water for 2 to 3 week-my clothes were very loose x
DeleteI’m losing it by eating twice a day
DeleteAnd lots of stir frys
Nice country views, enjoy lunch, healthy can be enjoyable. Your weather is about a month ahead of ours on the change of seasons.
ReplyDeleteWhat fine 'neigh'bours! Sorry!
ReplyDeleteAnother 8 lbs? No more Fat Bastard Breakfasts for you, then!
ReplyDeleteNo I’m on tract
DeleteYAY! The ponies have returned. All is right with the world.... except the bloody Covid virus.
ReplyDelete8lb is nothing... go for it!

⚖️
DeleteOnly 8lb? Congratulations...you have done amazingly...and proved that you can diet and still have occasional treats! X
ReplyDeleteWith that 8 lbs I would have lost three stone
Delete42 pounds
What a lovely view and the horses are a friendly and welcome addition to it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your lunch! Friends and family are what make this covid bother tolerable.
Hugs!
We had a love brunch …..eggs benedict
DeleteNice hairy ponies don't need coats!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see them again
I had two last year this time all four have returned
DeleteSuch a lovely view of the countryside with those ponies! Is that the view from your window? Lucky you!
ReplyDeletexx
Yes my bedroom window
DeleteOoh, brunch with a friend. And beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice …
DeleteWould the ponies be like the New Forest ones and to be rounded up evenually-I always worry about what happens to them-I've never eaten such eggs would they be eggs Benedict-and I must say John you are very nimble of finger a man of many talents x
ReplyDeleteNo they are my friend Sue’s ponies
DeleteBeautifully looked after ones too
Do you ride the ponies John x
DeleteThe scenery is gorgeous. Do the ponies come back every year or just every so often?
ReplyDeleteGenerally once a year , to utilise the grass that has lost its damaging nutrients …( horses get the condition laminitis from too much good grass)
DeleteSame here! It started out cool, but now the sky and temp have opened to sun and warmth! Those ponies remind me of the miniature horses up the road form me.
ReplyDeleteThose eggs benedict? I want to join you. xoxo
Bloody lovely too
DeleteEat what you love to eat, but eat half the amount. Drinking 50 cl of water before meals helps!
ReplyDeleteYes, Cro, I agree that portion control, especially just eating half a serving, is really helpful. That said, I ate an entire slice of chocolate cake yesterday - it had been so long since cake - and now feel soooooo guilty!
DeleteJohn - the ponies and countryside view really so charming - I envy you! The prom walk looked quiet - guessing all the seaside visitors have left town.
I only eat twice a day now
DeleteBreakfast and supper
Those birds in flight are so interesting. Are they made of metal so they endure the weather?
ReplyDeleteHow fortunate you are to have such a seaside walk available to you and the dogs.
"The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears, or the sea." - Isak Dinesen
Hugs!
They are metal
DeleteAre the ponies ‘ in work’ or retired? I’ve lost track of how long they’ve been gone? Is it an annual cycle? 8 pounds - go for it! You’ve done so well.
ReplyDeleteThe ponies are owned by an old friend ( primary school old friend) who keeps them up the Gop
DeleteWhen they have grazed their paddocks later summer, they come to me for a few weeks to fill their tummies with the grass going over
The eggs benedict look so good, one of my favorite breakfast items.
ReplyDeleteWe need to have breakfast together
DeleteWhen you go to the wedding you can smooth everything out with Spanks. I have some to give away because they are the most dreadfully uncomfortable things ever.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
It is nice to see the ponies back in the field. Your walk on the Prom on a beautiful day must have been greatly enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a healthy brunch. Though I don't see the champagne. I'd love have ponies near us. And the beach scene is sublime.
ReplyDeleteYou will make a fine appearance at the wedding, and then keep up the good eating habits. Though three meals a day are better. Blood sugar levels and all that.
ReplyDeleteI always loved when the ponies were in the field. I have always wanted a small Burro. They are so adorable.
ReplyDeleteAll good. I envy you your prom walks very much.
ReplyDeleteYou probably mentioned it before and I missed it, but I didn't know Trelawnyd was so close to the sea.
