Holiday day four
I’m on the way to London.
Bollocked the e tickets but finally managed to sort them in the end….fucking Luddite !
My itinerary has been sorted.
Banksy exhibition…then check in to hotel ( Nice one in Covent Garden again) then meet my friend Alex for food, then National Theatre to see Rocket’s And Blue Lights .
Tomorrow , I’ve booked to see the London Photo Exhibition at Somerset House before coming home .
No Nu unfortunately ….she’s at the Wisley flower Show
I'm quite envious of you having so many friends. Although we have met twice, I've never spoken on the phone to our friend Marie in London, but I did tonight. She called. I missed the call. I called back. It was nice.
ReplyDeleteI've always tried to nurture my friendships. Some people don't especially if they are in relationships
DeleteHave fun, nearly everyone messes up E-tickets.
ReplyDeleteI booked trains from crewe lol
DeleteEnjoy!!
ReplyDeleteRockets and Blue Lights is the title of a painting by Turner at the Clark Art Institute here in my home town of Williamstown MA. As a Clark docent I have used it in my group visits. Waiting to hear about your Rockets....
ReplyDeleteCheers Peter
You have the tastes of a Gentleman John x
ReplyDeleteEnjoy yourself!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly make the most of your holidays! Enjoy your adventure!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful time there! --Elise
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful it must be to have such a historical, interesting place as London relatively close to home. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Nicely done organizing all these activities and friend meetups. The Flower show sounds pretty good too. Nu will tell you about the show.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a full but enjoyable itinerary. Shame Nu isn't available, but there will be many more opportunities to meet her, I'm sure. xx
ReplyDeleteHave fun while you're here! Let us know how the photo show is!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a fun few days - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThat would only be beyond perfect with Nu. Have a great time.
ReplyDeleteAnother Luddite here! I would have messed up the booking too. When I’m feeling particularly out of my depth, I remind myself I was taught to write with a dip pen! Yes, our very old fashioned (and given to making things as difficult as possible) school insisted we start using pen with a dip pen, and only when we were blot free were we allowed to transition to a proper refillable pen! As a lefty it was just extra awful! So, I tell myself that when I need help, I can return the favour when my helper needs to learn the fine art of pen(wo)manship!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time and tell us all about it on your return!
