Today is my deadline for completing my Nurse revalidation paperwork.
I will be at it for all of the day, which is a bind, but I have no one except myself to blame for the lateness of the job.
Having said this I’m still wasting time answering messages and emails and giving the dogs an extra long walk in the rain. Oh and I’ve just photographed the sunny rudbeckia in the back garden, which are providing the only sunny view from my office window on such a miserable day.

ReplyDeletePresumably you keep a record of training and such like that you do and the form filling is a question of collating this information into the necessary boxes. I used to do this for my Stock Exchange membership. It was just at the beginning of continuing professional development coming into everything. Good luck.

DeleteYou have to provide detailed reflections on 5 aspects of your own practice and how they relate to the Nurses code of conduct which
Covers such areas as prioritising people, effective practice, safety preservation and professionalism
The other paperwork such as feedback, evidence of professional development is much more a paper exercise
We used to attend an interview for that bit.

DeleteWho comes up with all of those hoops to jump through and how does all of that "reflection" make anyone a better nurse?
DeleteThe process in the US was much simpler, just fill in the space on-line, include the information on the CEUs (continuing education units) you fulfilled during the licensing period, put in your payment, and click 'send'!

ReplyDeleteIf I saw those flowers, I'd call them Black-Eyed Susans. They're huge favorites of mine; they just make me happy. Good luck with the paperwork. I used to have to fill out stuff like that when I was a park ranger. It'd be like "Can I do something that's more fun, like clean the campground toilets?"

ReplyDeleteAs for wedding clothes, unless it is formal, I think you and CE should chose well cut slacks and sport coat [jacket, blazer], a quality shirt and lovely flowery necktie and hanky--Liberty of London?. Get the chic specs I suggested, good shoes, NO crocs. Hair cut etc---treat yourself [again], look really good--Mr Right may be at the party! Plus now you'll have nice date clothes in your closet.
