What a delightful evening
A Thai meal followed by a camp production of Pride And Prejudice in the Grosvenor Park open air theatre
Where everything felt right including a bearded rotund Howard Chadwick gliding on stage as Lady Catherine De Bourge.
The romantic and lovely drama was turned into a gentle comedy of manners and relationships and it was lovely to laugh and be moved by the words of Austen even when they were played sweetly and with humour
Sounds wonderful !
ReplyDeleteIt was x
DeleteHow delightful, both the setting and the play! I'm glad you were there to enjoy both.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
We had a lovelyevening
DeleteOutdoor theater is always enjoyed. Your evening sounds outstanding. You are fortunate to have an amphitheatre nearby and can attend future performances.
ReplyDeleteOpen air theatre is always enjoyed. You are lucky to have an amphitheatre nearby and can attend performances regularly. Your Thai meal sounds great too.
ReplyDeleteHE is a beauty. Look at that smile. Fun is what we all need some of to make us feel better. Oh man, and Thai food.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for you!
ReplyDeletePS: Just came from Magnon. Your comment there quite nearly had me on the floor.
I hate to ask, but can someone enlighten me? WTF is Chloe?
Having read the wretched book 20 times for my O Level, I think that production would have made a very refreshing change.
ReplyDeleteFun! I was just reading about how Shakespeare in the Park in NYC has resumed at 80% capacity, a rewrite of Merry Wives of Windsor, reset in Harlem. [??] I always loved going to the open air productions, and was thinking how much you'd enjoy going if you timed a NYC visit for [hot] summer someday.
ReplyDeleteI wondered whether you had ever joined a drama group yourself John?x
ReplyDeleteCould you hear the lines okay? Usually an issue with outdoor productions or were the actors and actresses miked up?
ReplyDeleteWho were you with?
ReplyDeleteI went with my friend Ruth
DeleteNice.
DeleteThat sounds like a wonderful evening!
ReplyDeleteI, too, was wondering who you were with? xx
ReplyDeleteIt sounds really good fun. Glad it stayed dry.
ReplyDeleteI went on Friday , it was very well done and most enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteAnd the rain held off too !
Sounds a super evening - am envious.
ReplyDeleteSounds delightful.
ReplyDeleteI was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
ReplyDeleteliver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
