  1. The crankiness will dissipate once you're with Nu. You'll be too busy chatting, laughing, eating and drinking. xx

  4. Yes the heat is doing this to all of us :)
They say it is changing at the weekend so I hope you still manage to enjoy any time outdoors in London. Enjoy!

  8. Take a long slow drive with the AC on or the windows down, then a weekend in the City and you might feel better.

  10. I don't usually confront people when I'm out with my dogs but the other day I informed someone the rules concerning her dogs politely-if it hadn't been so hot I would have bit my lip x

  12. Still hot here too. Pirate has a siesta when it is at is hottest, and sleeps better then than at night.

  13. Hot weather brings the worst out of all of us. The remedy is to try to stay inside with air conditioning.

Drink ice water or iced tea.
Will the electrical wiring in the cottage support an electric fan? You may need one. I like the ones that sit on a table and rotate back and forth.
Enjoy yourself in London! Safe journeys.

    Hugs!

  17. John, I've misplaced your email address. But did I not promise to let you know about the book written by the journalist/investigator who talked to people about their "supernatural" experiences? It's by Patricia Pearson and is called Opening Heaven's Door. I found and listened to a podcast interview with her on CBC Radio's "Tapestry" program last night, refreshing my memory. What's left of it. -Kate

  18. Seems to be a trend around the world, either hot and dry or hot and wet. Neither where they are supposed to be.

  19. Sorry about the heat. And I am sure in Wales you don't have air conditioning to give you relief.
