Back To Work

This framed print arrived today.I’d bought it when planning my new blue bedroom. It was posted from Florida. I’ve cut the lawn. Phoned a friend. Cleaned the windows. Washed Bluebell and cut flowers from the garden.
Pippa from the Rectory caught me in the lane, worried about the possible closure of the Church.I’ve asked her to get as many people that are interested to email the vicar supporting the possibility of it becoming a pilgrim church. She said she would.

I go back to work tomorrow

I really don’t want to go

  1. I sympathise. When I worked, I never wanted to go back after a break. Sadly, give it an hour and you'll feel like you've not had a holiday. You have made the most of your time at home, though. Love the print. Hope Albert has recovered from his ordeal. xx

  2. Sorry to be an ignoramus John but at first I thought you had bought a clothes pattern and had plans to run up a kaftan to lounge in when you are relaxing at home in your cottage x

Love the new framed picture and the orange will be the perfect compliment for the navy paint.
What a shame that work and the commute to and from cut into your free time so deeply. Hope you and everyone can soon discard the PPEs safely as being in your uniform and no PPE may well feel like a vacation.

    Big hugs!

The last day of time off always has that melancholy feeling.

  7. A holiday at home always ends with not wanting to go back to work and then once you get there it is fine. I hope that is the case for you too. I like the print very much. xx

Just shut the FUCK up you hateful troll. He has done NOTHING of the sort. He took good and proper care of Albert. You are horrible. Leave John alone and stop ruining this blog for the rest of us. It really is insufferable. You are disgusting.
I am sure that this is just the reaction that you are looking for- but I don't CARE anymore. Just LEAVE JOHN ALONE!

  9. LOVE that print! We have an 'orange-themed' corner that we like a lot.
One of these days you will no longer have to return to work, John, when you retire for good. It will come sooner than you think.

  14. The only alternative is to send the dogs out to work and we all know how that would end up :)

As Rachel said, the worst part is the dread of going back. Once there, it seems to be okay for some reason.

I can picture that print on a navy wall - very nice.

  16. Having that long break is half your problem. It's hard to get going after such a long pause. It will be a hard start, but once the rust comes off and you get rolling again, you'll be fine. Confidence is high.

  18. What is a pilgrim church? Why do you want it?

    1. It willthe only way to keep the church open. A pilgrim.church is overseen by a caretaker and is open 24/7. Some of the costs of running it are done by the community and not all by the church of wales
