Congratulations! Again! Love peonies; mine are out, but struggling under the choicya. I tried to move them last autumn, and now there's another clump, which looks healthy enough, but has no flowers. Sublime scent...
Nice blooms John-mine have been here all of the 36 years I've lived here planted by previous owner-Yourself and Mavis are a great team and have gone a long way together and peaked several times xx
The scent of peonies intoxicating. Cut some from my garden and they lasted over 3 weeks. Even in their last stages they are lovely and the scent fills the room.
What? Only second this time? Still I guess you've got to let others win occasionally! Seriously, though, I'm glad you had a good time and the peonies are lovely. xx
Peonies don't seem to do well here, so a small pot of roses on the kitchen table are my thing. Once they start, we have blooms through to end of September, from dark reds mixed with pinks and white. Good for the spirits.
Gorgeous flowers ... and EXACTLY like the ones I've just seen on an advertisement for M&S fresh blooms on one of those annoying YouTube 'have to watch' adverts.
What lovely color on your peonies and they are the perfect compliment to your delightful fish vase. :) Well done to you and Mavis on your 2nd place quiz finish. Applause!
Congratulations! Again!

ReplyDeletePeonies are the ultimate fat flourish flower, so old fashioned and lovely. Very cheering. Wine all round. Lovely!
