The View Through Your Window competition has been an enjoyable romp
Please send one in if you haven’t already, they all have been a joy to look at.

This one is my provisional favourite, particularly because of the drama of the background
Yesterday I prepared the cottage for my friend Ruth who is cottage sitting for a few days .
Long list of instructions for dogs, cat, tv, internet, heating, and vets have been asked for and left....tick
Clean bedding.....tick
Clean toilet..........tick
Nice food in fridge.....tick
Emergency contacts...tick
I’ve told her Affable despot Jason and Trendy Carol will be on hand if disasters happen
I am so looking forward in seeing Nu....we have never spent so much time apart since she went to work in Saudi in the 1990s
I am going to cry buckets when we finally meet
I know we both will .
Lots to prepare before you go away. Have a wonderful weekend xx
ReplyDeleteI love Nu just from the photos you share. What an exceptional friendship. Have a blast!
ReplyDeleteYay!! Glad you will see your friend and enjoy some time away.
ReplyDeleteIt fills our hearts to be with our kindred spirits! They lift us up, don't they? Have a lovely, fun time with Nu! Can't wait to hear what you two get to do!!
ReplyDeleteMay your time away be all that you want and need for this small holiday. Seeing Nu will clearly be the highlight. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to wear clean knickers on Sunday x
ReplyDeleteJohn always wears clean knickers...don't you, Mavis?
DeleteI never wear clean knickers, or knickers at all 😂
DeleteSaves on washing powder
DeleteIs that actually true? DOES John always wear clean knickers?
DeleteI think John may wear them back to front occasionally for the thrill of it x
DeleteI can imagine you on the train headed that way, when we took the train from Llandudno Junction to London, there were four middle aged women across the aisle headed into the city for a girls weekend out, getting rather rowdy, have almost as much fun as they were
ReplyDeleteHave great fun!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time but I know you will.
ReplyDeleteI sent one earlier in the week - perhaps it didn't reach you? I'll try again.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that holiday - reckon it's needed.
Enjoy yourselves!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting John-and a lovely change of scene for Ruth too xx
ReplyDeleteEnjoy! Don't forget the tissues for all those tears of joy. xx
ReplyDeleteHow marvelous that Ruth will house-sit, cat-sit, and dog-sit for you! I hope Ruth's visits in the past months will allow Dorothy to feel secure while you're away.
ReplyDeleteYour check-list seems complete, to me.
Go forth and be joyful! Tearful is okay, too, because (as my Grandma used to say) "Tears show clear what they heart holds dear."
Hugs!
Oh, I love your grandma's words.
DeleteHave a wonderful time John x
ReplyDeleteHave fun with Nu!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like everyone and everything is in safe hands ... now it's time to relax. Enjoy your weekend 🍾🥂💖
ReplyDeleteHave a great time, John!
ReplyDeleteThat IS an indisputably fantastic view. Enjoy your visit with Nu!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the anticipation is as good as the actual visit. Have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely, lovely few days John - I shall be thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteSo all sorted..tick!
ReplyDeleteGo and enjoy and relax xx
Happy to know you are almost on your way to a wonderful, much needed time away. Wishing you the best of everything. Hugs from the base of the mini-mountain in Maine.
ReplyDeleteHave a good cry and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteA holiday home for Ruth and hopefully a really enjoyable few days for you......enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThat view is my personal favorite, would love to have it hanging on my wall!
ReplyDeleteNo worries about your furry one and home now that Ruth is there. So enjoy !
ReplyDeleteI expect you will have the longest of hugs with Nu.
ReplyDeleteTearing up and crying will be such a release for you.
Hope you enjoy it so much.
Bon voyage. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have a grand visit.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holls.... and don't worry about the cottage.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased for you to spend time with your dear friend after such a difficult 14 months or so! Have a grand time!
ReplyDeleteAlso pleased you liked my view... my current "home office" in Colorado. It is so fun to watch the weather, light, and mood change across that vista on a daily... and sometimes hourly... basis. This one was Alpenglow after a late spring squall.

ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to enjoy it.
I hope you have a lovely time in London. Don't get mugged! And if you bump into PM Johnson give him a good slap from me. Thanks.
