London

Finally it’s almost time to live a little. On Friday I’m off to London to see Nu. We have theatre, cinema, meals out, Kew Gardens and lots of gossip to catch up on.

I’m staying two nights with her, then on Sunday I’m catching up with my friend John from Sitges before returning home on Monday. I’ve booked myself into a lovely hotel right in the centre of Covent Garden on Sunday night ...The Z Hotel is rather bijou and is tucked away behind St Paul’s Church, which couldn’t be any better and at 45£ a night . I’m laughing.

  8. Whooohoo! Kick your heels up, dance and have a wonderful time John. You deserve it!

I can't believe your £45 room !!! Over here, prices have soared since Civid closed our borders - £100 a night is about the lowest you can hope for!

  15. Have the best of times! Bijou, huh? We have friends who sold their large house in London and bought a "bijou apartment." That's what SHE said. He whispered to me: "It's a small flat."

I hope it is as much fun as you hope it is. Right next to the comment box here is the photo of you and Nu. £45 sounds very cheap and bijou a little scary. I've just taken a look at the hotel and looks good, although I know very well what compact means.

    1. I've just looked up Z hotels. They're everywhere. We even have one in Bath. Good idea.

    2. Z Hotels was started by an employee of Thistle Hotels who suggested the idea to them and they turned it down so he left and decided to go it alone and find some backers. He persuaded some Premier League footballers to put up the money for him with a guaranteed pay back time and that it is how it started. It is very successful and expanding.

Live, love and laugh with Nu; come home refreshed and feeling more 'normal' - we could all do with that!
