I’m having a quiet moment in work. coffee, silent office, a tick of the clock...
It’s been a sad morning but a professionally successful one and I’m taking a minute to share some some sad news that long time supporter and follower of so many gay friendly blogs Anne Marie ( http://frommybraintomymouth.blogspot.com/) has died after a short illness.
Outspoken, and friendly for several years now she has rung me on Christmas Day with a bellowing laugh of “ GREETINGS SQUIRE JOHN” and her pithy, one line advice has followed my life for a decade now as she has loyaly followed Going Gently waving her rainbow flag
She will be missed.
This is such sad news. I enjoyed her own blog but especially her comments on everyone else's blogs.
ReplyDeleteanne marie in philly, that is really sad, she was part of the family here. RIP anne marie. Thanks for sharing the news John, I would never have known otherwise. Very sad, and too young to die.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear this news. Her commentary on your blog and others is always pithy and to the point. So much humour. So very sad.
ReplyDeleteA sad day day indeed.very sad.
ReplyDeleteI'm so very sad about losing Anne Marie. This morning I thought of contacting her husband Todd to see where I could send flowers, but then it occurred to me that a small donation to an LGBTQ supporting organization might be more in line with what she would want. She was such a staunch ally.
ReplyDeleteRIP to the Warrior Queen. She will be sorely missed.
A donation to an LGBTQ support group would be an excellent tribute to my lovely lady. She would want that.
DeleteI will do the same
DeleteYes, it is a sad day indeed.
ReplyDeleteWe become so attached to those who follow our lives, and, in turn, following theirs. Losing them is like losing a close friend. RIP Anne-Marie.
ReplyDeleteSo sad. I will miss her words, and the cards that arrived out of the blue on special days.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Saturday dance parties!

It was Anne Marie who told me to come here, when I asked her for some 'new blogs to read, really good ones no rubbish".
ReplyDeleteI will miss her and all she did for the blogging community.
Oh, that's sad news. I only knew her through her comments here. They were always 'straight from the shoulder' and on point. Her partner will be missing her vital presence.
ReplyDeleteOh! I never knew her except what I saw here but it's still a shock.
ReplyDeleteFare well, you sassy woman
Sorry to read of Anne Marie's death.
ReplyDeleteShe has left a void in much of the blog community and, for some of us who got to call her friend, a hole in our hearts. She was a great friend, staunch ally, fierce social justice warrior, and irreplaceable.

I knew her from the Joe My God blog, and saw her here too. I wish I could swear like she did. One of my favorite commenters anywhere anytime.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your loss. I've often enjoyed reading her comments, and it made me feel good to know that there was such a warm, sparkly, potty-mouthed light just across the Delaware from me.
