Hello deArheart,
I’ve got 4 minutes to blog before work.
Clinique Happy has been squirted, face washed, eggs on sourdough eaten, dogs walked, Mary given her antibiotic, coffee made and decanted into my travel cup
Three minutes to go
Soup in the slow cooker liquidised.....it’s butter bean and chorizo again tonight.
One minute to go.
Hair brushed, teeth brushed ,
One minute late
Back home in 14 hours
Have a nice day John.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear yael
DeleteAnd won't that be a fabulous soup to come home to!
ReplyDeleteIt was bloody lovely
DeleteI hope it is a gentle day - and kylie is right.
ReplyDeleteI should be so lucky , lucky lucky lucky ?
DeleteYou seem yo get more done in 4 minutes than I do all day! Have a peaceful shift and enjoy the soup and a rest later. xx
ReplyDeleteIt’s 21.11...Mary is on my knee and Dorothy is sucking my feet
DeleteBliss
I love coming home to a 'ready' meal in the slow cooker. It looks yummy!! Hope your day was a good one :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was very busy
DeleteI have sore feet
I would have fish and chips! xx

ReplyDeleteImpressive list. One minute late...don't drive too fast!!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed. I'd be doing take away.
ReplyDeleteI usually buy a McDonald’s coffee
DeleteI hope it was a good day. The soup looks fab. Hope you had a crusty loaf with it.
ReplyDeleteJo in Auckland
It was busy but we had a laugh
DeleteWhen lockdown ends please invite us all over for a bowl of that soup it looks delicious. Oh and slow down or one of these days you will meet yourself coming back. xx
ReplyDeleteAnytime pat,,, anytime x
DeleteSometimes I imagine that you are talking to me, and me alone... (sigh)
ReplyDeleteSometimes I would love that just you and me
DeleteWhy waste your Happy on the dying? Surely your smile and energy is enough to get them drunk on love? X
ReplyDeleteMavis-I believe John is an earth angel and spreads happiness to all as he skips through life x
DeleteLike a fairy 🤣
DeleteOuch x
DeleteRe "one minute late", don't speed in Bluebell! Hope it's not too late to say that. Better to be a few minutes late rather than not permitted to drive to work for six months my son. (Moaning "Daddy" Andrew)
ReplyDeleteThat'd be a l-o-n-g walk.
DeleteI’m always early for work ...I’m never ever late for ANYTHING
DeleteThe 14 hours days would kill me,
ReplyDeleteMy feet need some Dorothy licking
DeleteSlow cookers are a lifesaver.
ReplyDeleteYour shift is killer.
Hope you have a great day at work!
XOXO
Same shift tomorrow xx
DeleteI need your recipe for the soup! I make my own butter bean soup but have never added chorizo. It sounds heavenly!

DeleteHas it not crossed your tiny mind that John thanks his lucky stars to be rid of the ex-husband?
DeleteGordon Bennet this is a post about getting up and soup!

DeleteTrolls will always be deleted xx
DeleteYour home will smell so good when you get home with that soup simmering all day! Hope you have a great day! xx

DeleteIt takes me 14 hours just to collect my thoughts for a blog post :).
ReplyDeleteLol. Xx
DeleteSoup looks delicious, but you are flying by the seat of your pants ... no wonder you keep getting caught speeding. Naughty boy ;-)
ReplyDeleteI was good
DeleteHave a good day, John!
ReplyDeleteI hope you did too
DeleteHope the shift and the drive there and back again are easy and pleasant.
ReplyDeleteI don't miss those work mornings (or evenings) when all was so carefully timed so, barring road work, I wouldn't be late. Before leaving for work, I often put a pot roast or something else in the Crock Pot so the house would smell wonderful and dinner would be simple. Enjoy your soup!
Hugs!
Yes walking in to the kitchen tonight was a real treat
DeleteHope your shift goes well and the journeys safe.
ReplyDeleteWith a shift that long, good to have hot food ready xx
The soup was lovely
DeleteEaten silently at the kitchen table
DeleteWelcome home
DeleteXx
DeleteAll is good. Take caution driving. (An occasional plus or minus minutes on arrival times are okay.) The home fires await your return. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI am home
DeleteThat reminds me of my days rushing off to work before I retired. Have a good day! I know you will improve the day for many others!
ReplyDeleteWe had a laugh today , thanks to trendy carol , the girls have been spoilt by her today xx
DeleteA bit off topic but I was wondering if, now that you're fully vaccinated and presumably cannot transmit or catch the Covid, must you dress for work in the extreme PPE [?] layers of protective gear?
ReplyDeleteHope your day is goood.
lizzy x
For the covid positive patients yes we do x
DeleteI believe the jury is still out on whether vaccinated folks can still transmit.
ReplyDeleteSee above
DeleteWelcome home! Have some soup ;-)
