'Slip sliding away" comes to mind. Be careful. Cold and dreary here but no ice thankfully as we leave early (9am) for our #2 vaccine appointments. . . . . . . which are hopefully chocolate flavored today - Happy Valentine's Day John dear OXOX
A Farrier helped you on your way John!-I believe that would be very Lucky as he would be surrounded by horseshoes at all times.Happy Valentine's Day to you and all your friends here xxxxxxx(I like the Outkast version song which I have)
Still frozen in our garden. I'm trying to supply the birds with drinking water but by the time they've plucked up the courage to get near, it's frozen again. Hope the lane is thawed before your drive home. x
What marvelous timing to have a push from the farrier when needed! We have ice, too, and all is frozen solid outside. Yesterday the ice brought down one of our lovely evergreen hemlocks. I made it next door last eve to cook DS2's dinner and back home without falling on the ice. That was no small miracle as I certainly slipped a few times. Safe journey home!
Happy valentines day hopefully you get home save, we have snow so unusual here, took the dog for a walk will have to make it short ones in future if the snow lasts he was full of clinging snow balls.
We have studded winter tires. Nevertheless the spouse will be working from home tomorrow as a snowstorm is pulling in for a two day event here... The amount of stress that saves him from experiencing is amazingly large!
We still have snow here John but fear not it is set to go and the warmer weather is set to arrive with you before it gets here.
ReplyDeleteHow jolly that you saw the farrier!

DeleteKindness...always valued. x
ReplyDeleteLucky he was there and ready to help. Should be melted by the time you get back!

ReplyDeletePacked snow makes for slick roadways. Fortunately, a very kind farmer came to your rescue. May he be blessed.
ReplyDeleteThe photo that sums up this winter in the UK. The day the Thames froze over, and the sea froze in Cumbria. A very chilly Valentine's Day!

ReplyDeleteJohn, the look of that lane turns my stomach. I wouldn't do it without suburb tires, or tire chains.
ReplyDeleteHappy Trails!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
