Terrier

 London is in lockdown
My planned visit to see Nu on Sunday looks like it may be off.
That’s broken my heart just a little.

I fell asleep before choir tonight and only managed the last few minutes
But I did manage to frame by latest bit of art
A terrier’s face

what a charming painting of the terrier and it's just perfect for your cottage. Wonder if Mary will notice a resemblance to her sweet self or to William?
Sorry about the cancellation of your trip to visit Nu. Is Nu able to leave London or does the lock down keep her there?

    Hugs!

  6. I figured that art-wall wasn't done! And probably never will be. It would be like you yourself would be 'done' but I think many more beautiful pieces will follow. You might run out of real estate though ..

  7. That is really nice looking on your art wall. Do you get the vaccine soon since you are a nurse?

    1. I do hope that this was not meant as unkindly as it reads. Most of us obey the rules, but it does not stop the pain of not seeing those who mean the most to us in life, new baby, very elderly parent, grandchild who is now fully fledged adult, best friend since the year dot........

  14. Lovely Terrier print, a lovely way to do all the Terriers in your life justice I clearly see the many Wire haired terriers and a couple of Lakelands I grew up.

Sorry that your well laid plans to visit Nu are of the rails, hang in there better times ahead John.

  16. Love the terrier print John....we have a drawing of our first chi - he passed 4 years ago now. Covid is playing havoc on all get togethers. Have missed a dear friends funeral and my sister was trapped in lockdown in Melbourne for six months. Managed to catch up with her last week when borders were opened up again. We seem to have it under control here in OZ so Xmas is looking a lot brighter.

  21. My dad (Weaver's first husband) was an artist. I inherited so many of his pictures that I don't have much room for any new art-work! You make me think I quite like the idea, though.

  22. That is a lovely terrier print..it has captured that expression well

  26. As understand the rules-We can meet with up to 3 households for 4 or 5 days during the Christmas period-but I may have misunderstood x

  27. So sorry your visit to Nu might be off, can you include her in your allowed Christmas bubble and have a visit.

Alan had to change hotels in London first thing this morning as the one he has been staying in was having to close down. Not good to be homeless in London at this time of year ... luckily after much phoning around he managed to find one near St Pauls to stay in tonight. He'll no doubt be glad to get safely home.

I love the picture of the terrier it is a very good likeness, and in lovely colours.

  28. Sorry you can't see Nu, sad as I believe you said you have not met up for quite a while. Plans are subject to change at present. Keep safe. Good news for you all with the work bonus, well deserved.

  29. Yeah, it's not the best time to come to London, sadly. In fact Nu might be better off coming to you! Love the terrier!
