Moral Support

I met up with a friend in the back and beyond of Snowdonia before the galleries shut again in Wales and bought this......isn’t he delightful?
We met a third colleague and friend ( social distancing of course) who has had a dreadful time of late to offer some moral support.
The Welsh Countryside has never looked so alive

  3. I like him...he seems to be looking up at the sky pondering whilst scratching his tummy a bit. Completely comfortable with himself being nude. Well balanced: eyes, nipples, both hands. Relaxed. A good feeling. Stay well John, Hugs.

, he is little darling, a d will make you smile every day. Looks like the grown up version of Morph from Vision On on BBC children's tv from way back when. You just had to bring him home to a place where he will be loved and understood!

I'd certainly like to know what he's thinking about as his face looks contemplative. Of course, he could be wondering where he left his drawers or where the draft is coming from! :) Enjoy your new friend!

    Hugs!

  35. How very interesting! One of my relatives came to visit us when I was younger (he lives in the Philippines) and he brought this wooden figure that had a barrel around him. When you lifted up the barrel, his thing stuck straight out, on a spring and it would jiggle. It both fascinated me and embarrassed me (because I was so fascinated by it).

I remember we had one of those when I was a child! Yes a barrel with his head poking out then the jiggling thing on a spring underneath Which if I remember rightly made him very well endowed and I do remember the end of his endowment was a very bright red!
I haven't a clue how we came to have it though. I'd completely forgotten about it until I read your comment.

  36. He is his own person, isn't he? Oné of a kind, unapologetically himself. Something has caught his eye, just as surely as he caught yours.

  38. Your new statuette has a very SOULFUL look about him!

  39. Your new statue might be considered a takeoff on Manneken Pis held in the Grand Place in Brussels, Belgium. MP at 61 cm (24 inches)even has an infamous wardrobe and is dressed up for special occasions.

  43. What a character! Here the outdoors areas are positively packed with people -- I guess everyone's taking advantage of their outdoor exercise, having nothing better to do during a lockdown. Glad you were able to meet up with your friend and colleague.

  48. Like it! I wonder where you got it? I used to stop at a pottery on the A5 (glasfryn?) It reminded me of things he used to make. He used to have (still has?) crowds of tiny "kiln gods" he's made. When this is all over, hopefully we'll be off that way again.
