I bought some battery run Christmas Lights from Lidl today and they cheerfully illuminate the hearth and art wall this evening
I don’t do Christmas decorations now , but some bulldog and scotch egg baubles ( a kind gift from Kim F) add to the”look”
Weaver has emailed and is safe and well and is writing her Christmas Cards
Happy days
Lights nicely illuminating the wonderful fat little pony.

DeleteI like your lights. We go all in for Christmas ... brightens up an otherwise dreary month.
ReplyDeleteI thought you collected Christmas decorations?
ReplyDeleteI do but I don’t put them all out at Christmas ...I used to seriously collect them before the divorce but all the good ones went with the prof
DeleteHope you'll get yourself some more good decorations or ornaments, different, but good. You deserve to do this for you!
DeleteHugs!
I have some lovely new ones , but I’m not ready for a Christmas tree. Yet x

ReplyDeleteWhat a clever way to do Christmas decor! Not nearly the fiddle-faddle of cutesy stuff that’s hard to dust!
ReplyDeleteI’m relieved to hear that Weaver is on the mend. That’s good news indeed. Thanks for following up with that.
That looks so pretty, John. I have to wait until after Thanksgiving here and then I will begin...
ReplyDeleteI will probably leave these two set s up indefinitely well at least un5il the clocks change again

ReplyDeleteWonderful news about Weaver!! I've been worried about her, especially with so much time going by without word. Thanks for letting us know. Your fairy lights are delightful!
ReplyDeleteThey are cheerful
DeleteWe all need a bit of cheer eh?
Very festive looking! Glad your blogging buddy is home and doing well!
ReplyDeleteLovely fairy lights and the cheerful glow they bring to the cottage must be so pleasing. Hope you get the wee quilt out that I sent to you. It could hang on a wall, prop on a ledge, or be used as a mug rug and would be a small nod to the Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteI was happy to see Weave had even posted on her blog today! When I commented, I was #94 so she must be well chuffed to have been welcomed home by so many friends.
Hugs!

ReplyDeleteLights, I am dawdling over putting up some of my own, maybe to leave up all year. The small white fairy lights. Good look you have there.

DeleteThe fairy lights give such a cozy and happy glow to your cottage! I was thrilled to see Pat back today!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately there is a bit of untidyness in my abode but the year round fairy lights in the evening make it appear lovely.By the backdoor I have a bucket of illuminated battery Christmas trees that irritatingly seem to have broken this week. Also my thatch grabbed the colour changing globe, chewed it and scarpered x
ReplyDeleteLol
DeleteThe cottage looks so inviting with the fairy lights. Great to hear Weaver is getting back in action. Love Janx.
ReplyDeleteLet's kick off the Christmas season with lights. A good cheery beginning. I, too, am on a roll with lights. My outdoor Korean Fur tree is just the right size for a few strings of lights. It's not too early for lights. Especially if it brightens the day. Sounds like Weave is good to go! We will simply all extend Christmas. Why not?
ReplyDeleteLet’s x
DeleteLooks wonderful, I wrapped packages this weekend, to get them out of my closet. Good to hear Weaver is doing better.
ReplyDeleteI need to get my arse into gear about Xmas x

ReplyDeleteLove your bulldog and Scotch egg ornaments, I would never been able to believe such things existed!
Great news about Weaver.
ReplyDeleteIs it safe to put those lights on top of your heating vent? Those things are completely foreign to me as a Queenslander but I always thought heat come out of the top of them??
Thank you so much for letting us know about Pat.
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear about Weaver. I don't think I'll bother with Christmas anything this year. Bah. Humbug.
