Im eating down the freezer whilst on annual leave, I've got till Friday to complete the task before I defrost the old one and man handle it into the yard. Lol.
It's like walking along the road at dusk when people have their house lights on but their curtains still open, and you can surreptitiously peep inside as you pass.
organization is such a wonderful thing. if i could only make myself do it more often. i wish we had your rain. this has been the driest 5 months in history.
What a perfect and satisfying day plan for a very rainy day! Do you have music playing or are you just listening to the sounds of rain and snoozing dogs? I assume that Albert is a very quiet sleeper but I could be mistaken.
I love the rain and the dogs seem to enjoy snoozing after their busy morning.I don't feel lazy that I should be outside gardening as it's raining here too but refuse to look inside my cupboards-check and recheck your measurements John-it would be very irritating to get it wrong x
I read it as buying/ ordering new cabinets too, then realised John meant organizing. Odd language blip. I wonder who the naked baby bird folks are---his hospice clients? Sad. Anyway the neat shelves would give me the heebie jeebies, I'm glad I have quilting and blogging and walking to do instead.
Possibly-In the kitchen Dusting ready for the new cabinets and whilst John is measuring he can't catch the ruler in the drawstring waist of his joggers or bib of his newly aquired dungarees x
One of the best things about morning on a day off is doing exactly what one pleases. I'm having a slow one, myself. Past 11 and still in my housecoat. Tsk. (Not really. Who's the boss of me? ME!). Love to you. -Kate
New kitchen cabinets? How wonderful! That is on my list to do but I have to be able to handle the cost first. Always an issue. I will live vicariously through your new cabinets!
Organizing kitchen cabinets is a job well done. The surprise finds and out of date items fill the trash bucket quickly. A fresh start, with newly realized space, will be good.
My granddaughter did this for me in a fit of Pandemic Lock Down Boredom and my Pantry and Cupboards look fabulous now and I can find everything and am careful not to mess up her organization!
New cabinets? Nice! Getting on with everything.
ReplyDeleteNo just re organising and clearing out
DeleteSo organized, I'd never find anything.

ReplyDeleteThree bin bags !,
DeleteNowt like filling a bin bag or two when the mood takes you.
DeleteFeels good to have things organized, doesn't it! I just did all my CDs and DVDs. For a brief shining moment, everything is in its proper place!

DeleteLast time I saw a picture of your kitchen it looked perfect so why the hell are you ordering new cabinets? You must have money to burn!

YP ......Ordering = To Put in order.
ReplyDeleteAlthough blog posts showing the insides of peoples cupboards leave me cold.
YP Cold = uninterested
Hahahaha
DeleteThanks for the language lesson Sue. I admit I am a bit thick.
Delete"Thick" as in "wide"? :)?
DeleteNot me. I love seeing what's in people's cupboards. Also what's in their fridges, and what's stuck to their fridges with magnets. -Kate
DeleteApologies sue, it does sound incredibly boring
DeleteBut I never claimed to be interesting 24/7
I LOVE seeing the inside of peoples cupboards.
DeleteIt's like walking along the road at dusk when people have their house lights on but their curtains still open, and you can surreptitiously peep inside as you pass.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind a nice hard afternoon rain.
ReplyDeleteYou could hire yourself out on your days off John - all looks spick and span - any money earned would go towards Scotch Eggs galore.
ReplyDeleteA bit of organising makes a lot of things feel better, and makes coping possible!
ReplyDeleteI'll second that!
DeleteIt makes things easier GZ
DeleteI WASTE SO MUCH TIME searching for stuff ....
And there is only you to mess it up, switch it up, or keep it just as is. True bliss, indeed.
ReplyDeleteExactly ...and as I was doing it, I half watched the old movie FORT APACHE on my iPad

ReplyDeleteOops, I think I misunderstood? You already have new cabinets don't you and you are organizing them? Well that can be fun too!
DeleteThree in bags of out of date food , unwanted dishes, rubbish and the like, my work is done!
DeleteOrganizing kitchen cabinets is a job well done. The surprise finds and out of date items fill the trash bucket quickly. A fresh start, with newly realized space, will be good.
ReplyDeleteIf it is a deep cupboard, you can buy the shelves as pull outs. We did.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a blissful, satisfying day. I have a kitchen cupboard to empty and reorganize. Waiting for a rainy day.
