"I'll admit I may have seen better days,
but I'm still not to be had for the price of a cocktail,

New cabinets? Nice! Getting on with everything.
No just re organising and clearing out
So organized, I'd never find anything.
Im eating down the freezer whilst on annual leave, I've got till Friday to complete the task before I defrost the old one and man handle it into the yard. Lol.
You remind me, the freezer needs sorting l...oh gawd
40 minutes of your life you never get back. I do have help tho of a cat thats fasinated by falling ice.
I remember how excited you were when planning the kitchen. I am so glad you were able to stay in your cottage and enjoy it !
I was so excited wasn’t I?
you kitchen is a joyful space. did you find/toss anything interesting whilst organizing?
Three bin bags !,
Nowt like filling a bin bag or two when the mood takes you.
Feels good to have things organized, doesn't it! I just did all my CDs and DVDs. For a brief shining moment, everything is in its proper place!
Yes, boy doesn’t it feel good
Last time I saw a picture of your kitchen it looked perfect so why the hell are you ordering new cabinets? You must have money to burn!
The INSIDES not the outsides YP
I read it as John was ordering the inside of the cabinets, mind you my first thought was the same as yours YP.LX
YP ......Ordering = To Put in order.Although blog posts showing the insides of peoples cupboards leave me cold.YP Cold = uninterested
Thanks for the language lesson Sue. I admit I am a bit thick.
"Thick" as in "wide"? :)?
Not me. I love seeing what's in people's cupboards. Also what's in their fridges, and what's stuck to their fridges with magnets. -Kate
Apologies sue, it does sound incredibly boring But I never claimed to be interesting 24/7
I LOVE seeing the inside of peoples cupboards. It's like walking along the road at dusk when people have their house lights on but their curtains still open, and you can surreptitiously peep inside as you pass.Snippets of other lives are fascinating.
Now do mine!!!!
For money , I’d love to lol
organization is such a wonderful thing. if i could only make myself do it more often. i wish we had your rain. this has been the driest 5 months in history.
I wouldn't mind a nice hard afternoon rain.
You could hire yourself out on your days off John - all looks spick and span - any money earned would go towards Scotch Eggs galore.
A bit of organising makes a lot of things feel better, and makes coping possible!
I'll second that!
It makes things easier GZ I WASTE SO MUCH TIME searching for stuff ....
And there is only you to mess it up, switch it up, or keep it just as is. True bliss, indeed.
Exactly ...and as I was doing it, I half watched the old movie FORT APACHE on my iPad
What a perfect and satisfying day plan for a very rainy day! Do you have music playing or are you just listening to the sounds of rain and snoozing dogs? I assume that Albert is a very quiet sleeper but I could be mistaken.Hugs!
See above ......babs
I had to enlarge the picture to see what those cans were. Of course, pet food.
The dogs come first Kirk x
Nice day of contentment.
I love the rain and the dogs seem to enjoy snoozing after their busy morning.I don't feel lazy that I should be outside gardening as it's raining here too but refuse to look inside my cupboards-check and recheck your measurements John-it would be very irritating to get it wrong x
Such a satisfying feeling when everything is in order!
It is......I found lots of “ lost” stuff Re stocked the emergency cupboard, and everything is neat! How satisfying
I read it as buying/ ordering new cabinets too, then realised John meant organizing. Odd language blip. I wonder who the naked baby bird folks are---his hospice clients? Sad. Anyway the neat shelves would give me the heebie jeebies, I'm glad I have quilting and blogging and walking to do instead.
Yes I was just organising them and de cluttering
Are you naked? X
Love it! hehehe x
Possibly-In the kitchen Dusting ready for the new cabinets and whilst John is measuring he can't catch the ruler in the drawstring waist of his joggers or bib of his newly aquired dungarees x
One of the best things about morning on a day off is doing exactly what one pleases. I'm having a slow one, myself. Past 11 and still in my housecoat. Tsk. (Not really. Who's the boss of me? ME!). Love to you. -Kate
Kate you slutxx
No rules, no work, no people...perfect!
The last room in the cottage to sort out
New kitchen cabinets? How wonderful! That is on my list to do but I have to be able to handle the cost first. Always an issue. I will live vicariously through your new cabinets!
Oops, I think I misunderstood? You already have new cabinets don't you and you are organizing them? Well that can be fun too!
Three in bags of out of date food , unwanted dishes, rubbish and the like, my work is done!
Organizing kitchen cabinets is a job well done. The surprise finds and out of date items fill the trash bucket quickly. A fresh start, with newly realized space, will be good.
If it is a deep cupboard, you can buy the shelves as pull outs. We did.
Sounds like a blissful, satisfying day. I have a kitchen cupboard to empty and reorganize. Waiting for a rainy day.
My granddaughter did this for me in a fit of Pandemic Lock Down Boredom and my Pantry and Cupboards look fabulous now and I can find everything and am careful not to mess up her organization!
I love all comments Except abusive ones from arseholes
