The weather couldnt have been any better for a picnic , and around 30 of the hospice staff turned up on the lovely West Shore of Llandudno to eat, drink and chat in the sun .
It was one of those easy going afternoons where everything fell into place nicely

What a wonderful day and wonderful weather for a picnic with wonderful coworkers!! Just the right ambiance to lighten everyone's frame of mind since your jobs deal with loss. It was nice to "meet" some of your mates, too. No masks?
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Great photos John. Thanks for sharing and glad you had such a lovely afternoon. xxxx
ReplyDeleteA day to remember in full Technicolour. And many more of them. Just goes to show the simplest pleasures are the best. And best deserved.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely afternoon in good company. Brilliant, glad you had fun xx
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fabulous time. I love beach picnics. Sand sun and good friends; what more could anyone ask for in these trying times.
ReplyDeleteJo in Auckland
Looks like great fun was had x
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a wonderful and much needed interlude for you all.
ReplyDeleteLove the arty photograph and that view is stunning. .... and a good time was had by all. XXXX
ReplyDeleteIt was a day that went well
DeleteOh yes, I love the arty one. Didn't see it first time round. X
DeleteThe people in the photo spell 'ALBA' :)
DeleteGreat idea - blessed with perfect weather.
ReplyDeleteThat looks a lot more fun that going to a sit down do indoors! Glad you all had a great time.
ReplyDeleteNo sit down dos for 30
DeleteOnly outdoors in wales......in England just 6
such a fun group on a beach picnic! and you brought dorothy; how did she react to the crowd?
ReplyDeleteShe was generally dreadfully behaved
DeleteLooks like a wonderful afternoon,
ReplyDeletewhat great new friends you've found.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a lovely place. I miss the ocean. Didn't get to see it this year.
ReplyDeleteNo masks and no social distancing - what an example you all set. The Covid cases are rising, the elderly and vulnerable are likely to be put in lockdown yet again, we can't visit our relatives in care homes, yet what are the hospice staff doing? Enjoying a party on the beach.
ReplyDeleteBecause of people like you I'm unable to visit my wife who is in a care home with dementia. Apparently her decline since I've not been able to visit is rapid, she depended on the daily visits from me. From being able to speak to her on a rare phone call I now know she thinks I have abandoned her and she has suffered greatly.
This is down to you and people like you who continue to ignore the rules and advice, people who are selfish and care more about having a good time than they do about other people. Sure you have a compassionate job but what a shame you can't continue that compassion into your private life. You've previously written about how you've had hugs and kisses with a friend, someone who doesn't live with you, you've had friends staying overnight, all in the midst of a horrendous pandemic that's not only affecting the lives of those who catch the virus but the far reaching effects that cause suffering to others. Would you like to tell my wife that the reason I've abandoned her (in her eyes) is because you were out having a lovely party on the beach. Along with the sleepovers.
Jim, I am so sorry about the situation with your wife. I have heard many similar stories. I wonder if you live in Wales? Near John?
DeleteI noticed the absence of masks, as I'm sure did everyone else. I have to assume that the number of cases there justifies the permission for 30 to meet outside sans masks. Meanwhile, your blaming John for your unhappiness helps no one. Is your grief any less if you deride him for sharing a little happiness with his coworkers and with us? I am sure John wishes you and your wife well, as do I.
I am so sorry to hear about your wife Jim and wish you and her all the very best. I don't know if you live in Wales but the rules in Wales have only just changed to make the wearing of masks INDOORS mandatory, there is no ruling about wearing masks out of doors up to now. And I would assume as most of these hospice workers work day in day out in very close proximity to each other, the larger than usual meeting on the beach is no big problem. In fact it could be classed as a colleague 'bubble'. The fresh air that whips along West Shore would help even more to keep people healthy and risk free.
DeleteI don’t believe you are who you say you are “jim”
DeleteYou are a troll pretending you are an elderly man which in my mind is despicable
If you are indeed who you say you are i would like to ring me to discuss your points I am very happy to do so 01745571838
I can offer you some support and some clarification
But I know you won’t ring
Because I know who you are
The Welsh government rules have changed today but out doors and without masks 30 people may meet safely
Also what the photos didn’t make clear was that most of the group was socially distanced
Also the majority of the nursing staff present have already had Covid,
Were tested and now are presumed immune
As for you bringing up other aspects of my private life, check the rules for Covid at that time. You will see that I clearly kept within the “ bubble” rules
Also and finally I may add that I am the person who gives a top notch care to people at the end of their lives, and do so day in and day out
Perhaps you could think about that before you call me
No call so far

DeleteI find it sad and rather pathetic that someone resorts to pretense to try to win some sorts of points in an argument
DeleteThe troll who resorted to lying about themselves in order to feel they have some credibility in an arguement is not only pathetic but disgusting
How dare you invent an elderly character
How dare you

DeleteWho was minding the ''store'' while you all had such a lovely day out.
ReplyDeleteYour outdoor gathering seems to have worked perfectly. Picnics on the beach are good fun. Everyone looks happy with the day.
ReplyDeletewhat sort of gin?
ReplyDeleteA picnic on the beach, good company and a beautiful day, you can't beat that!
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a really wonderful day, John . . .
ReplyDeleteAnd the rounders?
ReplyDeleteI am so pleased to see you guys enjoying a little bit of life, for a change.
ReplyDeleteThe work you all do must be harrowing at times, l myself would run a mile from all the bodily functions you have to deal with, let alone be a weeping mess at all the sadness.
You are all in close proximity to each other indoors all the time, so a bit of outdoor fun is more than welcome for you in my book.
Bless you all
Tess xx
What a lovely way to spend the day with good company John, respect goes to you all for the hard but no doubt rewarding work you do.
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful idea, it looks like it was a great day. I haven't seen 'my team' since last march other than on a screen !
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a great day and a much needed fresh air break from work. I bet Dorothy was in her element with all the attention.
ReplyDeleteSo much fun!
ReplyDeleteBeing out these days is kind of rare and it should be done more often. Going to the beach is such a great experience...
XOXO
Wonderful! But I don't know why you brought such a complicated beach tent. I mean, how many separate parts did it come with, three?
ReplyDeleteMy original guess was ONE but I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt (i.e., maybe there were bendy rods to be inserted).
DeleteNice to be together once again!
ReplyDeleteMy dogs like to use a beach tent x
ReplyDeleteThe Jim's of the world need to mind their own business. I assumed you knew what you were doing when you gathered. Sometimes we need that.
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous ... glad you all had a good time ... y’know you are my nominated I want HIM in my lifeboat man xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat do I have to do ?
DeleteOh John nothing scary! and there's no real life scenario......but your calm and capable and caring ways make me feel better and strengthen my
Delete'people are wonderful' thoughts ....which tend to dip and dive depending on my situation ..x
Oh gosh, that must have been a wonderful, freeing day. It looks like a good time was had by all. Bless you and all of your fellow compassionate work mates.

ReplyDeleteI frequently get cold sores(which lasts for 5-6 days on my lips and its painful both physically and mentally) .. As a bodybuilder, I basically get outbreak due to the daily pressure and heat in the body.. Recently I stumbled upon my salvation. I found a herbal remedy to cure hsv completely, in just 4weeks ..
I got to know about Dr Utu after seeing a lady's testimony online. I reached the doctor and I ordered for herpes herbal medicine. He sent the herbs to me and I started making use of them. In just 2days, the cold sores are cleared. 4weeks after medication, I went to the hospital for test of cold sores and it was completely NEGATIVE.
By following every prescription, i was able to cure my cold sore in less than 4weeks. 100% natural herbs no after effect.
Note: Please do let others know if this work for you.
The doctor's email is drutuherbalcure@gmail.com
Note : follow all instructions accordingly..
If you are sure that you have benefited from this African herbs be courageous to inform others.
