I forgot it was bank holiday today, not that this mattered at all
Bank holidays seem to mean nothing nowadays, they are just like any other day
I spent the morning booking things to do in Sheffield later in the week. Restaurants and pubs need booking as did a breakfast meeting with a friend and the hotel ( a very plush one for next to nothing)
The only down side is that my friend Jane and I can’t go to the city salsa bar to dance
I’ve been practicing

You you feel that really need to be in a bar to dance? I have danced in a lot of places, indoor and outdoor. Just playing the right music on your phone could work. I know it wouldn't be what you first wanted yet it might be fun.-Mary

DeleteI'm delighted that there are venues in Sheffield that are open for fun and food, so perhaps you'll find some place that includes music? How do you dance and keep at a social distance from your partner? Even line dancing would look odd 6 feet apart!

DeleteYou just need practice John-centre your core swivel your hips one way then the other backwards and forwards throughout the day whatever you are doing and you will soon be a natural x

ReplyDeleteThere are quite a few fun videos on Yootoob under 'salsa social distancing', where people dance with sticks or ropes between the partners (each holding one end of the 1.5m stick or rope).
